September Phone Favorites

Did we just skip September. Seriously I feel as thought it just never even happened! We had a ton of fun though. Here are our monthly phone favorites!

E loves going to the "heels store" she is a pro and I {love} this picture of her! Can she stay this way forever?

Sometimes you just need to take a bath with your crown on!

Daddy passed out after Renn Fair.

Jakob made Duke a fort. There is something so magical about forts!

Miss E and Miss G.

Taking a bath but making sure our band-aid's didn't get wet.

Being good little children at the Eye Doctors!

Manfred sorting my nail polishes while I painted my nails. He seriously did this for at least 20 minutes, which is hours in Duke time!

May I just say how AMAZING our ward is. We have a music class every Monday, a Letter group pre-school on Thursdays, and at least two additional play groups that meet during the week. We are involved and I LOVE it!

It's a bit messy, but E wrote her entire name out for the first time!!

The men having dinner toegther, and yes, they are infact having cold cereal! (Wife/ Mother Fail!)

E has started drawing people. It isn't often but I am seriously loving watching her creativity bloom!

A smirk for a baby ho refuses to smile at ANY camera!

Silence is golden unless you are a parent, then silence is just suspicious. It was quite and Duke had climbed up on the counter and grabbed the loaf of bread and dumped it out on the floor while I was feeding Gretta her bottle.

... then he climbed up onto the table while I was cleaning up the bread.. Such a stinker!

He likes to let his feet dangle.

PUMPKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duke loves footballs! And he actually likes to watch the games as well. He laughs as people get hit. Watching our first Cheifs game now living in KC.
Figured out the my curbside blanket is in fact some sort of snugly robe thing. Kind of nifty (I may or may not be wearing it as I type.)

Building a tower taller then himself. *Winning!* I am so excited for OcTOBLER! So many festive thinsg yet to do and so little time to do them! Plus my Mama is coming to visit! Woot Woot!

Bubbles

One Sunday evening I was board and scrolling through my Pinterest looking for ideas of what we wante dto do before things got chilly here in KC. Then I stumbled upon these giant bubbles. I knew I had to try them out. Jakob was a bit skeptical at first but with some practice we totally rocked it!

The best part was watching the kids pop them!

Bahaha that face!! Just perfect!

And that is what summer is all about!

GO ROYALS!

As mentioned before, my husband is amazing. He won a drawing at work for four tickets to a Royals game with $20 free concession per ticket. At first we planned for it to be a double date, then we realized it was on a Wednesday and it would be incredibly difficult to find a sitter so he suggested that I make it a ladies night and he would take the kids to scouts and manage them for the evening. Like I said... he's a Unicorn folks! After asking multiple women who all had plans we ended up making it a ladies night plus Whitney (Gretchen's  Husband) it was a fun event.

KC is full of pride and while I'm not all that into baseball it was fun to experience a game when we are going so well this season! Of course we spent every penny of our $100 total concession.

The weather was PERFECT!

I couldn't not get a Hot Dog at a baseball game! (P.s. I love the guys behind me!)

It was a good night and so nice to get to know these ladies better. I have such amazing friends here in KC. Better yet Royals WON!

Thank you for spoiling me with a night out husband face. I love you!!

Fall Parade

It's OcTobler folks and what a better way to kick off OcTobler than with a fall parade? Our little "city" of Overland Park was hosting a fall parade and I was super excited!

We found our spot, now what else are you to do but dance in the street until it starts?

Gretchen and Little Camryn joined us! I love friends!

 Here we go!!

 Waving as they go by!

I was a bit disapointed, there wasn't anything "fall" about this parade, no pumpkins, no scarecrows, ya know nothing very festive. Gretchen and I decided that we would make our own float next year! I really enjoyed the marching bands as we didn't have any of those in Canada. But hands down my favorite car was the one with the mixer on the top.

The kids did get A TON of candy! I should have brought their candy buckets!

 Two suckers at once!

Duke was a little candy magnet, but who could resist this stud? It was a fun morning and we are looking forward to it next year!
