Shhh.... Dirty Little Secrets

Well in the event of Mom Tobler being sucked into the Twilight series and still remaining to keep a tight hold on her priorities, Jakob thought that he would read the series to see what all of the fuss was about. He read through the first one quite quickly, complaining as to how large the text was requiring him to have to turn the page every minute or so. He claimed "I don't see what all the fuss was about the only reason why women love it is because this perfect man loves this imperfect girl, with a vampire twist." At that moment I thought all understanding and hope was fading from brilliant red to shades of grey. He requested for the second book and I gave it to him warning him that it was by far my least favorite. Not 3 days later he says how STUPID it was. All I could do was laugh and ask why he doesn't just stop reading. He claimed that he wanted to finish it now that he's started and he "wants to understand". Alright.

A few days later the topic of Twilight resurfaces and I come to fi
nd that he downloaded the Twilight film and stayed up to the wee hours of the morning watching a film that he had nothing but complaints about. "They were horrible actors." "Edward isn't even good looking." & my favorite by FAR: "Emmett wasn't even that big. I could take him" :) He didn't like how it was filmed or produced. He hated how Jasper was portrayed. If you want a lenghty convorsation about what was wrong with the fim just give him a call. :) Now I'm starting to think that perhaps my fiance may like the books a little more than he has been leading on.

My suspicions were confirmed when after a late night game of bowling he told me that he didn't get to bed until 3:30. Concerned that he was up that late I asked what he was doing playing on the computer till such an hour. He looks at me confused and says "No I was up reading that stupid book." I knew it. He secretly does like them. :P

Look Alike?

The worst part in Jakob's eyes took place at Claim Jumper last night. He was talking with some girls and they brought up Twilight. He confessed that he was reading the books and that he saw the movie. The girl looks up at him and says " You look just like Edward Cullen." All Jakob could say was "That is the worst thing that you could have said to me" a little shocked she replied "I pretty much just told you that you are really good looking." He smiled and just said "Thanks". Apparently looking like Robert is not a compliment. That's okay honey, I don't think you look anything like him.

All Work and No Play

My friend Britni landed Jakob and I jobs at Celebrate Kids. It is a company that does children's birthday parties and events. My Job includes face painting, animal balloon twisting, attending those rather large bounce houses (some of which spray water!) and we dress up as anything from a clown to Spongebob Squarepants. Do not be fooled there is far more to kids birthday parties than meets the eye. For Easter Jakob dresses up as Funshine the Carebear. It was adoreable to see kids run up to him in this HUGE yellow bear costume and give him hugs. He says that it rather hard to see in the 2 inch wholes they have for eyes spaced about 6 inches apart. He'd go to give one child a hug and knock 3 over in the process.

I was Princess Belle for a party last week and in the middle of doing the limbo my zipper popped and the back of my dress was hanging open showing my entire bare back! Last week while I was training, Britni was supposed to be Minnie Mouse but the costume was a little small. Quite puzzled as to what we were going to do, and after attempting to squees she looks at me smiles and says "Here you go Minnie." My fist ever birthday party and I'm front and center! There is never a dull moment. I am so exited to see what they have Jakob do next!!
