September Phone Favorites

September? Where have you gone?! School started and POOF! We are into OCTOBLER!! Seriously though time is zoooooommmmming! Doesn't anyone have any tricks to slow things down? Here's a round up of this months phone favorites! 

This boy makes my heart happy. He would do just about anything to help me. Here he is giving me a push on the swing. I actually had to get off of the swing so he would go play because he didn't like me sitting alone.

Leif is into all this food and he will take it in all shapes and forms. It didn't take him long to figure out how to use a straw!

Sunday afternoon naps are the best!

Sprout was in a needy mood and didn't want to get set down. So he got wrapped up. I love having my wrap! It is such a games changer!

Plus he usually falls asleep within 5 minutes. 

Boys' Alfa Alfa game is on point!

Sprout has started the scrunchy nose sniff and it makes me laugh every time!!

This boy is not a snuggler, he's much to busy for that noise. So moments like these are pretty precious!

Sprout's hair is starting to fill in but all of these little patches are rather funny.

E made this unicorn all by herself and she did a great job! I love seeing her creativity and all of her projects! She is the best!

E earned her Elena dress by being a good helper and babysitting Leif while Mama had some work to do around the house. She is the BEST big sister and I am so thankful for her!

I have started watching Dresdin and Faith every other Thursday. Duke isn't very excited to have "more girls" in the house but he is excited to have people to play with.

And now onto OcTOBLER!! Bring on the pumpkin patches, carving, costumes and trick or treating! This season is passing by much too quickly!!!

Sporting KC

Since Jakob has started working at Tortoise, the company has almost doubled in size, which means, more names in the pot for free events. Bummer! At long last Jakob was the winner of some tickets. We got to go to a Sporting KC soccer game. 

We were clearly the better team but Vancouver got in a lucky shot. this was the first time I had really watched soccer and I was rather annoyed by the rules. A lot of injury faking and running of the clock. I don't understand why they just don't stop the clock when there are "injuries." Problem solved. Then we had a player who was clearly hurt on our team who was limping through the pain but still playing because he didn't want to waste time by getting a sub. It just didn't make sense. BUT aside from that, we really did have a good time.

It was so nice to have a just us night and we need to have more of them. I am so in love with this man! 

Sprout Swinging

The weather here in KC is AMAZING! Finally starting to cool down and the Oak Mites haven't been too terrible either! (Thank heavens!!) to celebrate this amazing weather we have been going to parks on our Friday play dates with London and Elliot. It was Sprout's first swing and he was loving it!! 

That is one happy baby!! I'm so in love with this little man!

Swimming Lessons

We signed Bear and E up for swimming lessons! I was so proud of Duke! He did really well and was pretty brave! 

E's confidence in the water has really improved and she is now ready to move up to the next level of lessons!! 

The kids loved swimming! Can't wait to get them signed up again!

Brother's Reunion

This year for brother's reunion the boys headed off to Dallas to take a tactical gun course. They learned a lot but didn't fire many rounds unlike the course Jakob took here. Even without a lot of shooting the boys had a great time! 

Kyle's BIL Jason joined the fun. He looks like he fit right in! Here are some pictures from the weekend!

Real People Food

Sprout started eating real poeple food and he was LOVING it! Allllll of it! Rice cereal (which every ababy really hates), sure Mama, no problem. 

Give me MOOOOREEEEE!!

Some eveings are a bit crazy with dinner and feeding Sprout but he's sucha  great eater that E feeds him for me. She's the best!!

After a week of cereal we started him on veggies. So far he has had peas, carrots, squash, pumpkin, sweet potato, and apples. He does not like apple sauce  or green beans one bit and coughs and cries when we give it to him. Here's to not ruining this child's taste buds eat baby eat!!

E's Award

 I was so excited to go to E's school! E was getting a Sportsmanship award. Each month one child from each grade level gets a sportsmanship award. Which means there will only be 9 awards given out in each grade level all year. Miss E was the first one to get that award and I was pretty proud of her!
