Om really wanted to take the kids out on a date and thy chose a movie!

The kids have never been to a movie theater before and so they were extra excited!

Date Day

When I told E that we were going to Vegas this summer one of her first questions was if she could go on a special date with Pa again. I told her that she would have to ask him and so they set a date. E got to pick out her dream date and she chose going to dinosaur park, getting pizza and ice cream and playing board games once they got home.

E loves dinosaur park.

She really likes the monkey bars!

Date day selfies. Pa said they had great conversation and that she would just gibber away and tell him all about everything in her mind. E said she had a great time and she was all smiles when she got home!

While E and I were talking about a date with Pa Duke raced up and said "Can I go on a date with Grammy?!" Well of course! He says he likes Grammy because she listens to him and that couldn't be more true! For Duke's dream date he chose to play board games at home, go get pizza and go to the park after. I thought it was so funny that the kids basically chose the exact same date.

Duke had the best time playing several games with Grammy.

then they were off on their date. I'm not sure how I can describe how much I love and appreciate the relationship my children have with their Grammy and Pa. They are special and I know that they treasure them even if they are too young to quite understand. I hope these relationships last a lifetime. My heart of so full!

Blade & Timber

We kicked off September with a date night to Blade & Timber to go axe throwing and my word. It was so fun! We got to go with Megan & Brandon and Laura & Matt which was awesome since we've been trying to do something together for awhile now but schedules never worked out.

 Photo booth shenanigans.

Jakob was an incredible shot. Like bullseye almost every time. You also got 10 points if you could hit the blue dot, which he did! It was pretty masculine.
Myself on the other hand. I hit the bullseye my first time, and I was feeling pretty cocky. Then bam, I couldn't even get it to stick in the board for almost the rest of the night. Our "coach" said it had to do with me standing too close.

We played a game boys against girls and I had the game winning throw. So bullseye to start out, and then nothing... and then game winning throw. I say I come through at clutch time. Haha.

It was a fun date night and I'm so glad that we get to know more people in the ward.
