August Phone Favorites

August went by in a blink. Summer ended and school and new routines began. And here we are in September! Here are our August phone favorites.

Bear went to the park one day and I totally didn't notice that he had two complete different shoes on. 

Mom win!

For Jakob and my anniversary, he had scouts and I had a YW activity at the swimming pool. It wasn't the most romantic date but these three treated me well.

Our first solo day together while the kids were at school included a date at IKEA. 

We went to the library and the kids had a grand time playing with puzzles and reading stories. 

Someone has been waking up rather early and coming to snuggle with Mama while Daddy was gone for a week this month.

The cords hanging has been driving me mad! I have had the stuff to fix it for the last year and a half, so it was time to get it done.

Took two minutes. It's funny how the little things get put off when they are so easy.

I started watching a three month old named Millie. I get to have her three days a week. She is dang cute and keeps me on my toes.

Walther is significantly larger than Sig. Mom says that Sig is fussy.

But Sig will let you pet him... and I love that. 

They are getting so big!!

Back to School Night

 It was back to school night to learn about what E will learn this year. It was a Mama daughter date night and it was so fun to be just with my girl, which doens't happen often. Her teacher fawned over her and said she was a wonderful student. Her reading skills are expanding and her math skills are much better this year! Way to go E!!!

We celebrated with treats. I so love this girl!!

Dancing in the Rain

The kids had just finished tub time and then the heavens opened up and it POURED rain. I asked the kids if they wanted to go dance in it and they were off. Don't you let your kids go play in the rain right after they've had a bath? 

 It was Sprouts first time in the rain and all he kept saying was "WOAH!" and then he'd run and jump and splash around. He was living his best life. 

These are the moments I never want to forget. So much magic and wonder rediscovering the world.

Duke's First day of School

It's Duke's first day of Kindergarten and there wasn't one ounce of fear in his eyes. Kindergarten started 4 days after E had started school and duke was SO sad that he wasn't able to go to school with E every morning. By the time it was his turn he was stoked! 

 Duke is an excellent student and has tested above benchmark in quite a few areas! He is in regular kindergarten, but he does speech therapy a couple times a week. This boy is strong and determined. He wil try things over and over until he gets things right and I really admire his work ethic! When he grows up he wants to be a Dinosaur. :)

 His first day of school Duke wanted to be with his sister. This is the first year that Mama has driven them to school and they really miss the bus. Duke grabbed onto E's hand and they were off. She walked his right to where he was supposed to sit and it made my Mama heart so happy. When they were born 17 months apart was rough, but now that they are older these two just adore each other and they rely on each other in  so many ways. Duke walked right into class, sat down and I said bye and he didn't look back. This isn't his first rodeo, he knows the drill and I am so thankful for all of the people who helped him to prepare for Kindergarten. Fly on my boy. You are so loved!
