Playoff Game

For Christmas Jakob took me to a play off game. When he booked the tickets it was 75F outside, game day came and it was 32F. Not the worst but it absolutely had me thinking back to football games in Canada and I didn't envy those cheerleaders one bit. We ran into this awesome fan outside the doors and I snagged a picture with him.

I spy Porter!!

Jakob and I  have been to a preseason game before, but playoffs is an entirely different vibe. WE played Pittsburgh and even though they aren't "rivals" out team was there to dominate. The buzz in the crowd was AWESOME!

Now dont' get me wrong being in the stadium was EPIC! The cheering, the screaming until my voice was gone, the fireworks and freezing your booty (not really thanks to lots of layers.) But if you asked me what happened or the different plays, I don't think I could tell you. There is something a bit disconnecting when you see it real time on the feild. They don't break it down with announcers or slow mo replay. I feel like the experience is amazing, but I feel I get more football by watching at home.

A local artist that sings songs about the chiefs performed. It was fun to sing along with him.

There was a lot of Chopping going on!

And touchdown....

After touchdown....

after touch down!!! They actually ran out of fireworks.

Lining up for Kelce's first playoff touchdown pass.

And we win!!! Go CHEIFS! Also fun to watch Big Ben play his last game before he retired. Amazing night. Oh football, I love you!

September Phone Favorites

We didn't do many fun things in September aside from survive school, but I did take a lot of random pictures on my phone. So here's this months phone favorite round up.

He's starting to fall asleep in my arms less and less and it's breaking my heart a little bit.

I love home church. Jakob and I got off track a little bit over the summer once the ward started zooming sacrament meeting. We would watch sacrament and call it good. We then decided that that wasn't nearly enough, so we began having lessons again and boy did I miss them.

I mean can you even with Duke's baptism picture??? Be still my heart! Love these babes!

We went to see the surgeon this month about getting Sprout's Estropia in both of his eyes fixed. Looks like that is the plan and we are looking at him going in in February. Sprout was really excited about getting and toy car and some basketball cards from the hospital while he was there.

I wanted to try stripes again and after going to the sunflower field I was feeling like a sunflower cake would be perfect. They are better than last time, but I still need to practice.

I was going for a hand painted feel and I got that. Not my best work at all but it was fun!

It's football season once again and I am so thankful to have SPORTS BACK!!!!!! Oh my heart is singing! Let's go Chiefs! Run it back!

Those little tooths.

After an amazing summer full of swimming, Papa shut down the pool this month. We are so sad, but are counting down the seconds until the pool opens back up again.

Jakob's bread making skills are getting better!!

Hello perfect baby boy!

When you don't brush your hair for 5 day and you start to get dreads. Welcome to 2020.

Sprout digging outside with his shovel. I was laughing so hard while I took this picture. This boy is hilarious!

Food storage is starting to look a bit  better!

E's handwriting has come a long ways!

First official day of fall!

Sprout and his Wee-waa Stick. I don't even know why it's named that but this stick is special and has a name.

I finally got around to painting some tulips for my Mama that she requested months ago. There is an upside to having to sit beside Duke all day.... Lots of reading and water colors.

Art is hard. That is all.

Another random nap. How is that even comfortable?

Sprout and I accidentally went to the wrong doctors office one day. However we did end up driving past the most incredible looking park. So we had to go check it out. I'm just saying, this my be one of my favorites yet. The one in Nashville is still number one on my list but this is a close second.

Zoom Sacrament. Such a strange church experience but so grateful that we have technology to do these things!

When Jakob cooks an amazing dinner and plates it all fancy on the kids plates. :)

When chores turn into games. Please don't ever grow up!

He's wild.

He also loves to be upside down.

As Roo gets older he is less and less snugly but before nap and bed time he will lay his head on your shoulder for as long as you want and it is my absolute favorite!!

Sprout was so helpful and went and put the garbage's away all on his own!

I got a hammock for me and they have decided it is for them.

She's getting good at climbing.

Sprout: Mama can I go look at the water?
Mama: Yes, but don't get wet, I don't have spare clothes for you.
Sprout: I won't get wet.
... 5 minutes later...
Sprout: Mama, I got wet. I still love you!
I knew he would and I still love you too Sprout!

E made my bed for me and Did an awesome job!!

A girl in a teepee, reading a chapter book! Yes please!!!!!!

Spetember you were good! But OcTobler is my JAM!!!! Bring it on!!
