Oma's Last Day

It was Oma's final day and so we had to make sure it was fun! We headed off to the farm for the first time this year. We love the farm! The little school house is so darling.

Sprout loves cows! He was so excited to to see a baby cow.

Then we fed the baby goats. Sprout was a bit nervous.

The kid stole his bottle, it was rather funny.

E wanted nothing to do with the goats, but Duke was a pro!

I found a cute little bonnet for E to try on.... she was not impressed.

Then we fed the big goats.

Oma was so sweet and got the kids ice cream. So picture perfect!

It was a fun morning adventure! We sure do love our Oma and we are so thankful for all that she did to help with the tiny humans, the house and our projects. I am going to miss having you here!

DeAnna Rose Feild Trip

E's class was heading to the farm for a field trip and I was asked to go along. Michelle took Sprout for me and E & I had a wonderful afternoon together.

What a wonderful group of kids!

E and an owl. Girl is obsessed.

Yay!!

E's class.

The next day we went back to the farm with Duke and Sprout.

We love the farm!!

STRIKE!

After we returned home from Guitar Center we loaded up the family and went bowling. Not exactly seasonal, but I told Mom that we were planning on going ice skating and she pretty well told me hell no! So bowling it was instead. It was warmer and we had a great time!

We had the kids get their own lane which was brilliant. they had a great time sending the balls down the lane!

Mom getting her form down!

Strike!

And Mom is the winner! Now we are all terrible bowlers. I mean, darn right bad, but since we all were about the same level of bad it was a lot of fun!

That evening the gentlemen decided that they didn't want to venture out to go and see Christmas lights, so it was just us ladies. We went out to Deanna Rose and it was wonderful!!

What a fun and busy day!

Lat Day of Summer

It was our last day of summer so we wanted to do something pretty big! We called up some friends and we headed over to the farm! Joanna had left over tickets from the Tortoise company event (that we missed while we were in Canada) so we got to do a lot of fun things! I think E's favorite event was mining!

They give you a bag full of dirt and rocks and you are suppose to dip it in the water and rinse away the sand.

Bear struck a gold mine! His bag was FULL of big rocks. E only had three or four.

Quite the haul!

Feeding the goats is always fun. They were a bit more aggressive this time around eating E's dress and chasing the kids. E kept running around and they would chase her. I told her to hold still and just give them the bottle and she said "I can't!!! I'm having a heart attack!!!" I about died laughing.

Bear thought it was fun to chase them!

Then we finished off the day with riding horses.

I was super proud of Bear! Last time he rode he screamed the whole time, he was very brave and really enjoyed it! And that it a wrap on our summer!!! First day of school begins tomorrow!!!
