A huge congrats & three cheers for Pappa van den Berge! He managed to create and actually use his blog! I am hoping this will persuade my family to take more pictures! I am trying desperately to get my family and friends in Canada to jump on the blogging bandwagon so I can attempt to keep up! So far no success. I have had many people look at our blog and comment on what a good idea it is, but as soon as I mention them making their own, suddenly, they lose interest. I think blogging intimidates them; an online journal that one documents their lives moments in, in addition too the added pressure of technology. To some, that is simply far too overwhelming. Personally, I love this newly found pass time and I am so happy that Dad is finally learning the ropes! I hope that I can reel Jessica in when she visits so I can keep up with her life at BYU. We'll see how persuasive I am.

Happy Birthday Daddy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!
I hope you have a fantastic birthday! I wish I was there to celebrate with you!
Since I am a Tobler now, Tobler traditions apply.
Here are 10 reasons & things as to why I love you:

When the good Lord was creating fathers, he started with a tall frame.
A female angel nearby said: "What kind of father is that? If you're going to make children so close to the ground, why have you put fathers up so high? He won't be able to shoot marbles without kneeling, tuck a child in bed without bending, or even kiss a child without a lot of stooping."
God smiled and said, "Yes, but if I make him child-size, who would children have to look up to?"
And when God made a father's hands, they were large and sinewy. The angel shook her head sadly and said: "Do you know what you're doing? Large hands are clumsy. They can't manage diaper pins, small buttons, rubber bands on pony tails, or even remove splinters caused by baseball bats."
God smiled and said: "I know, but they're large enough to hold everything a small boy empties from his pockets at the end of a day, yet small enough to cup a child's face."
And then God molded long, slim legs and broad shoulders. God was in the middle of creating two of the largest feet anyone had ever seen when the angel could contain herself no longer. "That's not fair. Do you honestly think those large boats are going to dig out of bed early in the morning when the baby cries? Or walk through a small birthday party without crushing at least three of the guests?"
God smiled and said: "They'll work. You'll see. They'll support a child who wants to 'ride a horse to Banbury Cross,' or scare off mice at the summer cabin, or display shoes that will be a challenge to fill."
God worked throughout the night, giving the father few words, but a firm, authoritative voice; eyes that saw everything, but remained calm and tolerant.
Finally, almost as an afterthought, he added tears. Then he turned to the angel and said, "Now, are you satisfied that he can love as much as a mother?"
The angel shutteth up.

Here are 10 reasons & things as to why I love you:
- I love you because you'll drop anything to help me.
- I love how you serve people. Whenever someone needs something you are always there to help them out. I'm proud when I hear "You're Dad was there when I needed him this week." You & mom make such a difference in so many peoples lives by simple acts of service. I love you for that.
- I love our random conversations that we have.
- I love your sense of humor. I defiantly got that from you.
- I love how you never rolled your eyes at me when I ask you "Which one looked better?" :)
- I loved our road trip together and being able to spend time simply talking, laughing and heaven forbid singing.
- I love how you love mom.
- I love how you are not afraid to get on your knee's and pray. "Never does a man stand taller then when he's on his knee's" You were a great example of that.
- I love how calm you are in the face of a storm.
- Most of all I love how you love me for always no matter what.
I love you so much Dad I hope you have an awesome day!
Miss you!! xoxo

Super Stoked!!!
Yesterday before Jakob left for school he told me that I would have a surprise when he got back. Of course I went crazy trying to figure out what it might be. When I got home from watching Seven last night there was a riddle on the mirror that said:
"A riddle if you please...
The 3rd of September is the day to remember
The louder fun, crowd & plot
I can think of no reason why the Lemon Treason should be forgot"

WE'RE GOING TO SECONDHAND SERENADE!!!!!!

Back to School
Jakob was off to his first day of classes this morning. He has been dreading this for the past couple of weeks. To pick his spirits back up we went shopping for a new pair of shoes. Who ever said that men are not fussy about their shoes needs to be introduced to my husband. He said that he wanted a pair of black Adidas. We went to three stores all carrying "black" Adidas, however, they were the wrong style. Every time we went into a store and I pointed a pair out he'd shake his head and say "No Love, those aren't them." Apparently if he's going to spend the money he plans on getting exactly what he wants. So they came in the mail yesterday and he wore them to church. It was his golden star this morning when he was getting ready. I am so fortunate to have such a dedicated husband. I'm so grateful for all that he does to benefit our lives. He works so hard and I never hear him complain. I am so blessed and love him dearly.

Time & All Eternity
At first I was quite upset with having to have our reception before the wedding but now, looking back, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. It was by far the greatest day of my life. Everything was very calm and relaxed. I was very grateful to have the stress of a wedding reception behind us. When we arrived at the temple we had to book in our wedding dresses if they didn't meet temple requirements (too much glitter and such). Upon checking in my dress the sister there smiled as sweetly as possible and informed me that Jakob and I were not on the list to be sealed. It was funny. Everything however went along as though there wasn't a hitch at all. I was so relaxed and unbelievably happy, our sealing was incredible. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. A huge thanks to Jeff and Amy who suggested Brother Kajr he was the icing on our cake. After a very spiritual experience I go to change into my wedding gown, unfortunately it was misplaced. Once again something to laugh about. I could only imagine the poor temple workers as they tried to attend to 150 brides that day. And off we went to take pictures. Some are good and others ... you shall see. But I think they capture the beauty of the temple and the simplicity of the day. It was nice to have family there to joke around with as we posed for photos. Thank you to all that made the trip to see us! I will forever remember this day and the loved one's that were there to share it with us! And now ... some pictures :) I would do a slide show but... I have no idea how to :).

Jakob and I realize that we're still wearing our wedding bands on the wrong finger so... we switched them all by ourselves. No exchange! How's that for tradition ;)

Apparently I didn't read the fine print on becoming a Tobler. It states that your eyes will be closed in almost every picture! Sad!

My G-ma Ida

I think this is my favorite picture. Oh Jakob.

Now I look ridiculous in this picture but Jakob is marvelous! How did he manage to do that?

I Love to See the Temple. Ask Mom Tobler about that sometime. ;)

Isn't he adorable :)

Dad Tobler's So Little

Our dinner was wonderful!

How many newly wed couples do you know check into their hotel with BOTH sets of parents? Now you know one!

This is Jerry. Jerry likes flowers & Temple Square has LOTS!

&& We are off to enjoy our carriage ride and begin our new lives together. I am so incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful husband who loves and supports me. I love him with all of my heart and I am so exited for the adventures to come. I couldn't have asked for a better day or for a better man to share it with.
p.s. i love you
