May Phone Favorites

Oh hello May. What a month full of crazy nothingness that still felt very busy. this month we started venturing out to see Papa and Gram and get some fast food. It was a very little dip into the outside world. It feels a bit mind blowing to say that. Here's a round up of this months surreal phone favorites.

When you can't go in to get allergy tests and your neighbors a nurse. I got to learn how to give Jakob his needles. It was a very odd feeling.

We made a little chalk obstacle course full of dolphin jumps, spins, bear walks and cartwheels. It was so much fun and the kids loved it.

Once a week we would do trunknic at Papa and Grams and it was by far one of our biggest highlights of the week. I can't tell you how badly I wanted to jump into their arms!

When you look out the front window and see this??? Thee are no rules.

This was as good as it got for May the Fourth this year.

Cinco de Mayo. It was a yummy one with Cafe Rio pork, cowboy caviar, lime rice, and Jakob made his own queso. MMMMM good!

Flight school. The kids loved this!

Attempting to work with water color. I've never done it before but it was fun.

The drool.

All four kids were due for check ups... phew. They didn't tell us we needed masks *eye roll* and they told us as we arrived that only one parent could go back. I told them that we would just leave then and Jakob was able to go back. There is no way I can do four check ups on my own, fill out all the forms and questionnaires and wrestle a baby by myself while trying to make sure the Sprout didn't like the floors.

Five leg pokes for Redd. Break my heart!

Can you tell we are transitioning to no nap?

Working from home like a boss.

Someone is starting to sit up. Oh stop growing Roo!!

It was national turtle day. (Didn't know that was a thing... me either.) I love turtles and I had to post about my favorite one. Whenever Daddy would come to visit he would get me a turtle. This is one he got me on one of our road trips together just him and I. We were at a gas station and he came out with the goofiest smile on his face and said he saw something that made him think of me. It was fun to have a day to post about two things that make my heart so dang happy.

Home church can be so awesome and other days it can be so hard. I love the awesome days.

This girls heart gets me every time. She loves so big!

Chess or Chest as this kids call it is a very popular pass time around here.

A letter from Papa. I love that the kids are writing letters to people they love. It makes my heart so dang happy!

Reading time inside the sun tent... SOLD!

Lime cake with a lime curd and a blackberry buttercream. SO GOOD!

First time seeing friends since MARCH!!! Oh what a happy day for everyone!

George Fllyod was brutally murdered by a white cop. This sparked a lot of protesting both peaceful and not throughout the country. And while I won't get into politics here, I do feel that we need to change the world by raising a new generation that is KIND! I usually try to shelter my kids from the crazy in this world, but this time I was honest and told them what was happening. I LOVE this art by ohhappydani. Here's to taking steps to a better world.

 Love this onesie!

I spy a baby watching Dory.

Brothers are the best.

It feels like we have been doing summer for quite awhile already but I am excited to have slower days full of time together. Spending time outside and being together.

Puddle Jumping

People often complain about the rain. I don't love thunder storms the scare the poop out of me but the rain is so calming and cleansing and I think that jumping in puddles is an absolute must for kids!

I mean, can you feel the magic?!?

I love how fluffy that boys hair is!

Bliss! Please don't even grow up!

Riding in the Rain

I couldn't find Sprout one afternoon, he was sitting in the garage, holding his lawn mower, waiting for the rain to stop. It may have been one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I told him the rain wasn't going to stop any time soon. I asked him to come inside but he wanted to wait.

I came back to check on him a few minutes later and he was just giggling like crazy riding his bike in the rain and I couldn't help but laugh with him.

Staying home is hard, moments like this where this boy is glowing makes my heart so happy!

Don't ever change my sweet boy! You are so loved!

Millie's Dinosaur Cake

It has been a minute since we have seem Millie Mouse and she turned TWO!! I just had to make her a cake. She had a dinosaur themed birthday and I was really excited to try a different take on dinosaurs.

Ashlee gave me an inspo cake and it had so many cute details. I really wanted to capture that on the cake.

Moments like this I really should have learned how use my Cricut, but a cookie cutter worked. This was the first time I have ever painted with food coloring and I loved it! I can't wait to try it again on a future cake.

Okay, I know that cake is cute, but that little party hat on the dinosaur takes the cake!

The addition of these little leaves added a ton of color and added some pop!

So fun! Best part was Millie loved it. Happy Birthday Millie Mouse.
