Ths year Easter was a touch strange. No big eggs hunts, no gathering with friends but in that same breathe it was so much better. We got to step away from the commercialized holiday and focus more on the spiritual side of things. We had a lesson in our home and we felt the spirit as we talked about our Savior and his sacrifice he made for us. It was really special.
The kids were great while I snapped a few pictures. After not dressing up for church every week, getting dress clothes on kids is quite the ordeal. Everyone was very sweet though. I am very happy to say, this photo is 100% authentic. I didn't have to swap out anyone's face and I am AMAZED!
And proof that other pictures weren't as wonderful.
Happy first Easter Reddrick!
E made Easter cookies all on her own! YAY!
We took our time through the day doing on festive activities. Duke found his Easter basket rather quickly.
E's took awhile. ;)
Bunny eggs.
It started raining in the afternoon so we did an indoor egg hunt and it was a lot of fun!
Once again we put reasons why we loved the kids inside along with little food erasers (which were a big hit!)
It was a great day and we ran out of time and skipped coloring eggs. I am so thankful for our Savior. through him we can repent and be cleansed of our sins and return to live with our Father in Heaven. Because of that, our families are forever. I'm grateful for the peace and comfort that comes from this gospel. He is Risen. I know the my Redeemer Lives.
