May Phone Favorites

It seems like the beginning of May was so long ago! So much has happened this month! Here are a few too many of our phone favorites.

E counting all of her money, lining them up and stacking them all so very carefully.

Leif and his Moobs! Honestly his man boobs were HUGE!! They were swollen from all of my hormones, and I knew they would go down but I felt like it took forever. I am happy to report that his man boobs are now gone entirely!

That face :).

E came inside with our very pretty flower. She told me she didn't want it to doe outside so she picked it. I have since explained that if she'd like to pick flowers, she needs to ask Mama first.

This kids makes the best faces.

Life has been super busy for the past few days. It happens, I know. And even though Leif never left my side I was really missing him as my attention was 1,000 different places. It's funny how you can miss something you've never even lost. It was so nice to have a day of sitting at home in our jams, snuggling after so many busy days.

It was finally windy enough to fly our kites, this is totally and activity that requires more than one adult!

Helping hands!

Miss E in her yellow dress and red flowers just screamed Belle to me.

Sure do love this boy!

My favorite Leif picture!

We're all about lining up cars!

Manny and I went to the store all by ourselves one afternoon. He was an awesome helper! I love our little Mama-Son dates!

 Community snuggle time.

Someone had picked a few roses from the garden in Topeka and thrown them on the ground. E was more than happy to bring them home and rescue them.

Mom made homemade bread with the whey from the yogurt. She such a home maker!!

Poor abandoned baby.

Love this picture of Duke and this statue of Christ.

Pure happiness!! And that wraps up May?!?! Sweet mercy. How are we HALF WAY through 2017? Here's to soaking up more summer!!

Topeka

Whenever anyone comes to our house our days are usually filled with projects and going to the park with the kids. I ws determined to do something new and fun where we would actually have to change out of our P.J's. My friend Anna had just gone on a day trip to Topeka and said it was awesome so I did some research and decided we would go to the Topeka Zoo. We loaded up and made the hour long drive out. As soon as we hit Topkea's city limits the heavens opened up and it POURED rain. Literally.  We checked the forecast and determined that we most likely wouldn't be going to the Zoo after all. So we drove and hour to go to Chick Fil A.

Mom and I visited while the kids played in the play place for almost 2 hours. By then the kids were pretty over the play place so we decided to head back home. I  was pretty bummed. In my mind today was going to be awesome and I was just disapointed. On our way out of the city we decided just to do a drive by, the sun was out and a drive by wouldn't hurt.

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we saw the train. We just had to go for a ride.

The kids were pretty stoked! And the creepy conductor was totally hitting on Mom!

 So fun!

Then we decided since it was still pretty sunny, we would play at the AWESOME park they had.

It was pretty wet and we got dirty but that was half of the fun!

Then we jumped in the car and drove around the corner to the carousel.

Duke wasn't interested in riding it the first time, so E got to use his ticket to ride it twice. As we were leaving Duke decided he wanted a turn after all. The tenant was very sweet and let everyone ride for free!

Then we walked across the street to look at the pond.

We got to see this crane catch a fish! It was intense!

Right beside the pond was a big rose garden.

By this point it was getting pretty warm, and the kids were done. It wasn't the day we planned but it was SO much fun!! Thanks for bearing with me Mom! I love our adventures! We are looking forward to going back to Topeka!
