Hallow's Eve

I was rather excited to paint my nails all festively and I must say I'm pretty pleased with the final outcome. It was a bit difficult since I thought Duke was down for his long nap and then ten minutes late he was up screaming while I had wet nails. Ahh the joys of Mommyhood.

I like having my nails done because it helps me not to chew my cuticles. It's a nasty habit that's I've had for YEARS! Usually they are all bloody and swollen, not a hot look. They are still pretty gross here but I find that if I keep my nails done then I leave them alone.

Ethnie was all decked out in her glow-in-the-dark jammies! I means how cool is that? She was so cute and stopped to throw her hands up in the air and yelled "CHEEEEESE" for a picture!

Duke was all cuddled up in his little nest of blankets. Nights have been crisp and windy. So excited to treat-or-treat tomorrow.

OcTOBLER Phone Favorites

This month was a busy month full of fun and excitement. Here's Duke at his 2 month check up. He's a BIG boy.

One of my favorites of Duke.
We miss Daddy while he's at work!

Daddy was kind enough to let E have the rest of his milkshake. She promptly spilled it all over herself. It was rather funny.

Cinderella, in the dress that Mom Tobler made for the company.

Who says you can't wear you're swim suit over your pants.

Love this picture. He fell asleep during wiggle time.

Jakob proposed 5 years ago on October 11th, 2008. So much has happened and changed since then. Easiest and best decision I ever made.

Duke and his girl friend Zada. Zada is 8 1/2 month and Duke is 2 1/2 months. They are the same size. Love them to bits!!

Jakob let me braid his hair. True Love!

Dimples!!

When did she grow up?! Sometimes I wish that Neverland really did exist. She's such a big girl now.

More dimples!!!! Oh how I love that smile!

E in her happy place, organizing Tupperwear by size color.

Have I mentioned I love our ward? We had been Booed. When we went to pass the Boo along we had to visit 5 different houses because they had all already been done! I'm very glad that our ward is so efficient. We like to have fun!

The beginning of Chewbacca. :)

Her first piece of Halloween Candy. E went to visit Daddy at work and his co-worker Star gave E a Sucker. She was so excited and wouldn't take it out of her mouth for anything! It was a wonderful OcTOBLER.

Our Little Pumpkins

I {love} carving pumpkins. To me it is the official kick off to Halloween. This year, life was just crazy, so we were a bit late. Jakob isn't fond of gutting the pumpkin so I was in charge of that part. I was all excited for Peanut to really get in there and make a mess buts she wanted NOTHING to do with it. So she sat with Jakob while I did the dirty work. Jakob then took on the job of carving. Those teeth were pretty goofy.

Like the awesome wife I am, I forgot to take a picture of Jakob and his completed pumpkin. Good thing Mom took one the following day. The teeth were all sorts of shriveled. Fail! Sorry honey, I'll be better next year. :)

The following week I wanted to carve Duke his firt pumpkin. We headed over to Mom's and this time Ethnie wanted to help. SCORE!

Yucky hands. She wasn't fond of the stringy bits that would cling to her fingers but I was seriously impressed with good she did since the previous week she was now down.

"Okay Mama, It's MY turn to scoop!" Love her!

Ethnie then went down for a nap and it was time to trace the little mans hands and carve. He was a wonderful helper.

Tada! Duke's first pumpkin!

I just love our little pumpkins and I'm so thankful that I'm their Mama! Having little ones makes all of the holiday's just that much better!

This is Halloween!

Halloween is so much fun. It'll be even better next year when Ethnie really understands what's going on. This year it was my turn to pick our costumes and I chose Star Wars. Ethnie was supposed to be an Ewok but she wanted nothing to do with her costume for our party and to me, it wasn't worth the battle.

I love dressing up unfortunetly little Chewbacca's costume was too small and he wasn't very happy about it.

It's time to party!!

Stu and Cortney came as a ring master and lion. They also won the costume contest. This is the first year that Jakob and I haven't won! It's game ON for next year! ;)

 Chuck and Emily

 Aaron, Missy and Ballerina Zada.

The recently engaged Ryan & Crystal.

Darcy, Lianna, Tinkerbell Pearl and Strawberry Mabel.

What does the Fox Say Britini and "I-just-moved-and-didn't-make-a-costume" David.

It was then time to bond, eat and play.

Gramma and Grampa were kind enough to come down to take pictures and help with the little people while we welcomed guests. We are so blessed to have them so close!!

Crystal is in love with Duke. I think they make quite the cute pair. :)

Since Duke's costume was too small (story of my life). Missy put Zada in it and it fit perfectly. Not to mention she was BEYOND adorable!

We may have commandeered Missy's daughter for a couple of pictures.

Haunted Mansion Time. I'm not going to lie, people get pretty serious about this event. It's a relationship builder, that is for sure!

The final products. People are starting to get pretty creative here!
I rocked out Pearls house frame and she decorated it all by herself. I was pretty impressed!! She came in second place. Since this was our first year we had other children at the party I learned a few things. Next year we will have prizes for the kids too, even if they don't win. Pearl was pretty proud of her creation and was excited to take it home!

This years winners, the Wittenbreakers! I think it was the blood smears and decapitated gummy bears that brought in this win. Emily was also the champion of Liers Dice.

It was such a fun party!!! Thank you to all those who made it!
