One Busy Day

We had a busy day full of fun! We started the day up on Mount Charleston listening to Pa's band play.

Sprout was a pretty big fan!

Duke got to come up and help blow the train whistle. He blew the whistle so hard I thought he was going to pass out. :)

It was so fun to go and see Pa. We also ran into Uncle David while he was working on the mountain.

We loaded up the tiny humans and Mom and I headed down to the train station in Boulder City.

All Aboard!

Sprout was a big fan... and then he wanted to go explore.

So fun!

Then we went to see the big horned sheep, which I've never done before. Very random and very neat!

And down to the docks to feed fish where I swear it was 150 degrees. It was so hot I thought the fish were going to boil!

Mom is amazing a burnt her tooshy to make sure Sprout didn't end up with the fish in the water.

We ended the day with one of my favorite people ever. I so love Aunt Nancy, she made a delicious dinner and it was so good to visit with her even thought it was only a quick chat. She makes my heart happy. It was a fun and busy day and I loved every second of it!

24th Celebration

Saturday Morning Pa was busy preparing for his concert that afternoon at the 24th of July Celebration. Mom and Dad's stake goes all out and it was so much fun! Duke was really interested in helping him prepare.

Aspen Ridge!

Our Pa!

Pa's biggest fan! If we get the chance to go to another one of his shows I will have to make her a t-shirt that says "Pa's #1 Fan!"

E loved watching Pa stand up there and sing!

Then they asked what song they should play next and E shouted "SUNSHINE! Play OUR song Pa!" My heart just about burst! They started to sing their song and then Grammy said that E could go up on the stage. She was thrilled and just danced away and started singing.

Then she got a bit shy but she stood by her Pa and swayed along. Seriously cutest thing ever!!!

Once Pa's first set was over we went and explored a bit. There was plenty of food, games, cotton candy, snow cones, and activities for the kidlets.

Duke was adventurous as always and wasn't too fond of staying in one place for long.

They had a fire truck open so the kids could climb in. E thought that was pretty awesome.

Duke just wanted to push all of the buttons. They were sweet enough to let him grab and pull on just about everything he could reach.

Then E climbed in the front seat. I asked her what she was doing and she said "I can't drive without a seat belt Mom, that's not very safe!"

It was hot and they had water slides as well. Thank heavens the Dyers were in town and we ran into them. Raylee helped E go up the slide.

She wasn't so sure about the water...

But she loved it!

Duke was happy just to splash in the run off. He's so easy going, busy but just goes with the flow.

Round 2. All three at the same time! They were so gosh darn cute! I was so glad that we ran into Julie, I really miss them and I hope they have a wonderful adventure back in NYC.

Back to Pa for his second set.

Ready to go!

Time to dance on the table.

It was such a fun evening!! Dad's band sounded good and the kids loved seeing their Pa doing what he loves!
