April Phone Favorites

April was a bit of a wild ride. I still feel like I haven't caught up from January, maybe this year will be the year I'm just behind of everything! Here is a round up of our phone favorites.

Here is Daddy posing for some pictures because Sprout just wouldn't pose for his pictures.

He wasn't very cooperative either ;).

Little Robin eggs in a nest.

A picture of my favorite stuffies when I was little. Cuddles, Snowball, and Nibbles. they were old and tired and the insides felt like the were cracking so it was time to say goodbye. Farewell my friends!

While driving home from dropping the kids off at school I saw and owl sitting on somone's lawn. Totally content just sitting there and I didn't even have my phone to take a picture. I was so disappointed. So I raced home to grab my nice camera and then I went back just to see if it was still there. I found it up in a tree and I spent 30 minutes wait to see if it would move so I could get a picture for E. He didn't but the little squirrel was mighty brave or mighty stupid to come and taunt this owl. Made him ruffle up his feathers and everything.

Happy Birthday Eve Sprout!

Home Depot craft day. My kids have this written on the calendar every month! they so look forward to it!

Conference and Candy. they sat quietly through all four sessions. I have wonderful children.

Sprouts first bike ride... with a helmet that is WAY too small for him.

Sprout loves Yoga!
E made a salad out of her little cook book. She was so gosh darn proud of herself and she actually ate it too!

Sp many sweet hugs from this sweet boy!

Loving on his panda that Papa and Gram gave him for his birthday!

Jakob's company's came in second place in the dodge ball corporate challenge.

E made this flower crown all by herself.

I chopped my hair... granted I didn't  chop it like this, it's just the layers... But I really like this length and I may have to do the chop sometime...*shrug*

I also added a couple feathers... going straight back to 2010 and LOVING IT!

And that is a wrap for this month. May promises to be just as busy school is coming to a close and we are getting ready to go to Vegas! Time is flying and I just need to catch up!

Sprouts Birthday Party

Life is crazy and we just came down from being sick and so we did a quick and simple party for Sprout at the park and I was feeling ALLLLLL the mom guilt about it. We had invited 60 adults and children and I just knew that we wouldn't be able to fit them in our house but still I felt bad for not  going full out decorating and doing a pinata and things for Sprout's party. It was chill, we went to the park and played.

since I was lame mom of the year, I did decide to make him a cake. I really enjoy doing them and I felt I just HAD too since I literally did nothing else.

His face got melted off by the sun but I was able to fix it up. Poor little guy!

It was chilly but Sprout didn't mind getting wet.

We had scheduled pizza to be at the park when we got thee but the manager at the shop forgot the key and so they were more than an hour late. the kids were starving so my friend Val raced to Costco and saved the day with some pizza. Talk about fail.

 Sprout and Max.

Singing Happy Birthday! Sprout loves when people sing happy birthday, it was too windy for a candle but we let him blow some out at home. (Jakob was in charge of the group picture... big mistake lol)

My friend Laura took over and took these! Thanks girl!!
And that's a wrap. It was really nice not to have to finish a party and clean a house or have the stress of hosting in your home. I may be a fan of this whole at a park thing. Happy Birthday Sweet Sprout! I can't believe that you are TWO!!!! You are so loved!

Sprout's Bear Day

At Build a Bear you can get a pay your age birthday bear so naturally, I had to take Sprout to get a $2 bear.

He was so amazed with the mall. So much to look at and see! He kept pointing at everything and saying "look! LOOK!"

He really had no idea what we were doing but he was so gosh darn cute.

He saw the carousel on the way out the door and we decided to take a ride. He walked around the thing twice before deciding he wanted to ride the panda.

Oh Sprout we so love you!!

Puppy Cake

I was pretty confident about what I wanted to do for this cake. I made two 8" rounds for the body and quickly realized that they were going to be WAY too big! So I dug around in the freezer and found a few left over cake rounds from E's owl cake and I started piecing this bad boy together.

I ended up using 2-6" round for the body. I cut the 8" round in half trimmed it down for the head. I then used Costco muffins for the legs and nose and scraps for the paws.

I started working on the fur and OH EM GEE, it was horrible. I have never used a fur tip and there was a learning curve for sure. I wouldn't say I'm skilled even slightly but it did come together pretty quick and the fur tip hides a lot of mistakes.

I he looks like a bear... and at this point it was 11:30 and I just couldn't even care.

We used a leather button for the nose, and I tore apart and puppy stuffy we got at the thrift store it really finished him off. We tried a few other eyes and they were CREEEEEEEPY!

Jakob went to the park early to save our spot and he left little puppy in the sun... and his face totally melted off. I was SO sad but thankfully I brought the frosting and was able to fix him. and he was cute.

Sprout sure did like his puppy, he doesn't even like cake, but he liked his puppy. Happy birthday sweet boy!
