One morning the kiddos woke up to a letter from a mysterious guest. We had a leprechaun! I have been wanting to do this since our first year with Eli the Elf.
Our leprechaun was going to play tricks but we decided to make some crafts.
I think this is one of my favorite crafts so far! E's hand is just so stinking cute!!!
The kids woke up to their first prank. Lucky had left the shampoo in the fridge an put the ketchup in the shower!!!
E thought we should make "a leaf" to give lucky. So we made a shamrock.
E was really good about taping the pieces together but wanted nothing to do with pictures since it was for Lucky.
The next day Lucky turned the kids juice green!! (It's usually yellow.) E was a bit skeptical but it tasted really yummy.
What goes better with juice than shamrock shaped pancakes that are dyed green?
The next day Lucky turned all of our chairs upside down!
The day after that Lucky had to go potty in the middle of the night.
E now asks what color everyone pee is. Funny thing (warning TMI!) is two day later I had to take some drugs that turned my pee red. Poor girl is super confused she really wants to make her pee turn blue. I'm super tempted to drop a few drop of dye to the water next time she goes but I think he mind would explode.
That day we decided to make a trap to see if we could catch Lucky. E put the stickers on, helped me glue the ladder and helped put the rainbow together. That girls loves sparkly shamrocks and rainbows.
Oh and of course we had to have some gold to draw Lucky in!
We set out our trap but Lucky got away. That is one smart Leprechaun. We didn't get her pot of gold but she left us some lucky charms and the shamrock we made for her.
E was a big fan of the lucky charms! It was a fun St. Patty's and I am looking forward to having Lucky come back to visit us again!
