2017 Highlights

I think 2017 was our fastest year yet! January was full of getting projects done. February was busy getting ready for E's birthday. March was operation prepare for new baby and a visit from Oma. April was full of guests and the arrival of Sprout! May was finding ourselves a groove and the end of the school year. June was summer vacation and Jakob's exam. July was our big trip to Canada. August was coming home, Duke's birthday and starting school again. September was the start of the holidays and Duke's birthday bash. Octobler was Halloween and all that that entails. November was Thanksgiving and a big trip to Georgia and December was Christmas!! It was jam packed and zoomed! And now that 2018 has rolled around, I can finally blog about it all :) Here are a few of our highlights from 2017!

1. This ultrasound of Sprout just makes me swoon. What a precious picture of our little man and how fitting. He is the happiest kid ever!

2. Finally a good sibling photo!

3. Pa and Grammy came to visit before E's birthday and it was wonderful. *Note to self, take more pictures of Gramma!*

4. E turned 5 years old!!! She is looking oh so grown up!

5. For her birthday she decided to have a Peppa Pig Party. It was very cute!

6. The beginning of the year was a year of getting projects done! I had a pile of half finished project and a ton of fabric laying around and I was determined to get rid of some of the clutter. E was a amazing helper!

7. Finally some sunshine!

8. And just like that it went from spring to winter again! Who doesn't love some snow in March?! (KILL ALL THE BUGS!!!!)

9. Oma got to come down for her Spring Break and it was wonderful having her hereto help get a few things settled before the baby arrived!

10. We got quite a bit of rain this year and that made for some amazing puddle jumping!

 

11. Two days before I was supposed to be induced I went over to my friend Anna's house for a play date and we had an impromptu shoot.  About to POP! 

12. Introducing Leif Ronald Tobler. Born Good Friday 4.14.17 - 8lbs 12oz - 20 1/2" long- 100% obsessed!

 

13. Uncle Clark came down to visit the day after Leif was born and stayed through Easter. It was SO wonderful having him come and visit. I was very grateful that he was willing to come to my home when I was bat crap crazy!

13. Mom Tobler moved in on and off for the next few months. She stayed to help fro a couple of weeks with Sprout and then went back home and came back two weeks or so later to help with the kids again so that Jakob could study. It was so wonderful having her with us and it made me long for us to once again live in the same city!! 

14. Gramma took the big kids to the park multiple times a day so they cold get out some energy.

16. Leif was blessed June 4th and it was just perfect!

Mom made Leif's blessing outfit and I was obssesed with it! It was just the cutest little thing and perfectly captured my vision!!! Thank you so much Mom!!!!

17. Life spent adoring, snuggling and swooning over this sweet boy!

18. We wrapped up Preschool and I was in shock! Summer is officially here!

19. June 20th E lost her first tooth. She was very brave and thrilled that the tooth fairy would come and visit her!

22. Duke is officially potty trained. It was a bit of a wild ride but he's finally gotten the hang of it!

23. Our first Cow Appreciation Day. It won't be our last!

24. My first flight with three! Nailed it!

25. A quick stop in Vegas to see Gramma and Pa!

27. Duke Turned 4!

28. He had the best fire truck birthday!

29. E is ready for Kindergarten!

30. Back to Preschool for Duke.

31. E learned how to ride her bike... all by herself. i was really impressed with her!

34. Jakob and his brothers gathered in Dallas for a brothers weekend. they took a tactical gun course and while they won't readily admit it, they had a great time! This boys (and Jason) know how to party!

37. Happy Halloween! This year we went with a Moana theme as requested by E. E was Moana, Duke was Tomatoa, Sprout was a Kakamora, Daddy was Maui and Mama was Mother Earth. Such fun costumes!!

And that wraps up this year. What a whirl wind and I'm sure 2018 will be no different. We have a few trips planned, lots of family gathering and a big surprise for E coming up in March. Now just to enjoy a bit of a slower pace this January because once February hits it's full steam ahead!
