March Phone Favorites

March was crazy! It was long and hard and stressful and I was so excited to see it end. But it had its happy times as well. Here is a round up of our phone favorites.

For the past couple weeks Sprout likes to go upstairs and climb in bed with Peanut and they snuggle! So FREAKING cute!!

He loves his moose hat and I love him!

E was in a book parade and she went as Sophie Mouse.

She is so creative!

At long last!!!!!! BABY number four is on it's way!!

WE finally got to go to a session and it was nice! I didn't understand all of the excitement but the shorter times were wonderful.

Blue and Gold. I was still sick and Jakob decided to stay home and do the cooking. He made everything! Chicken, rice, beans, and a picco. It was really tasty and everyone had lots of compliments for the chef. They were thoroughly surprised when I told them that it was all Jakob. He is pretty incredible!

Saying goodbye to my tiny humans as I leave them for 5 days for a girls trip with my cousins to Vegas! So excited. And that is a wrap on March. Can you believe we are 1/4 of of the way through the year?!? Crazy!

Jakob's New York "Conference"

Jakob told me that he had a conference in New York and I didn't even think twice about it. I usually ask if it's about anything exciting but all I knew was that it was a quick trip. Jakob isn't exactly one to give out details without someone asking. It turns out that he was one of Tortoises representatives to ring the Opening Bell.

He said that a few people were asked to attend, but only a handful were asked to stand on the podium during the bell ringing. It's a lot of big talk for something I don't understand but it was a big deal fro Jakob (and apparently for other people!) so it is a big deal to me!

You ring that bell babe! I am so gosh darn proud of this man and all of the hard work that he does. He is a valued member of his team and it continually shows! Way to go love!

Duke's Award

With a fever of 102 I headed over to duke school to see him get his award. I so wanted to skip it but I tried not to breathe on anyone as I cheered on my sweet and hardworking little man!

So proud of you dude!!

Other funny part was watching Sprout who went from sitting in the chair next to me to straight up snuggling in between these 6th graders and hanging out like he was part of the class. I couldn't help but laugh.

Ladies Night

4:00 in the afternoon my firend Jodi texted and said "Lets go to a KU game! I've got tickets!" SOLD! After three weeks of Jakob traveling he was finally home and Mama was ready for a girls night out!

I have never been to a basketball game before other than high school so this was a lot of fun. I was also the start of March Madness so it was really intense. And I also learned that I am super into sports and most other women are not. When i go to a game, I like to watch the game and visit between plays or halves. Some people want to visit the whole time and I had to laugh at myself and just enjoy the moment. These brunette babes are awesome. (Myself, Jodi, Celena, and Anna)

It was a fun night, we won the game and then we sat in the car and visited until 2:30 in the morning and I was wiped!! I'm getting older people. :)

While Daddy's Away the Kids will Play

This month has been a busy one where Daddy has been traveling a LOT! He was gone for 4-5 days at a time and then when he was home he was in 100% study mode and let me tell you it was rough!!

So we tried to keep things interesting...

... we read...

.. and we went out for lunch, and we snuggled and we watched way to much T.V and then Mama went and got herself sick... but that is another post. So glad that things have calmed back down.

Zoo Day

Despite all of our snow days this year, the kids still managed to hang onto a few three day weekends. At long last the sun finally came out and we headed off to the zoo!!

This was my first attempt at leaving behind the stroller with Sprout, we brought the leash, just in case, but he wasn't the biggest fan and he managed to stay pretty close to me the whole time.

His first merry-go-round and it was THE cutest!!

We are big fans!

Love those smiles!

My favorite  picture of the day!

It was such a great day and I have greatly missed the sunshine!! looking forward to spring.
