Peach Picking

Saturday morning Jakob was out of town and our time with Oma was quickly coming to an end. So I did a quick Google and discovered that the orchard opened THAT DAY! I raced upstairs and told everyone to get dressed as quickly as possible so we could try to beat the heat, and we were off!

There is something magical about peach picking! They smelled SO dang yummy and the kids were picking pros.

I think this one is my favorite! He was so gosh darn cute!

I am so in love with this crew!!

 Oma had fun picking too!

A rare Mama photo that isn't a selfie!

The kiddos went a bit peach crazy. they picked four bags. We left one behind on purpose. in the end it came to $40 with the field fee and the peaches. (I type this so I can remember for next year.) I think next year I will tell the kids to pick 5 of the yummiest peaches they can find and that's it. ;)

After picking the kids had a blast racing in these tubes and sliding down a HUGE slide.

It was a fun summer time morning!

Dance Class

While looking around on Groupon Jakob jokingly said that I should take some pole dancing classes. He coworker was sitting beside him and said that she would do it with me and I was DOWN! So, for Christmas Jakob got me some lessons and it was SO MUCH FUN! Christie and I went to four classes and totally got our money's worth. The first time we tried pole and while I enjoyed it I was SO SORE after. That is not only a core work out, but and upper body work out!! Loved it! The next time we tried a bootie blast class that was a total joke. Our third and fourth class we took a chair class that taught you lap dances. GUYS SOOOOOOO FUN!!!!! We had the best time laughing and goofing around while attempting to get our sexy on. I am goofy, I am loud and full of energy but I do NOT do sexy. This was a judgment free zone and it was amazing! We had such a great time together! I am excited for after the baby. We want to go zip lining next!

Journey to Judea

We attended Journey to Judea last year and it was amazing. I was eager to sign up to attend this year too. I had planned to get a fairly large group of tickets and have friends join us as well but when I went to get tickets 45 minutes after they opened the were gone. They ran out of tickets within the first 40 minutes of opening 12,000 tickets!! I was so disappointed. To I kept my eyes open and was able to get two tickets fro Sunday. They were kind enough to let our family in. It was cold and muddy and it was so worth it!

I love that there is a Christ centered activity for us to attend at the beginning of the season. He is the Light!!

Shaving Cream

Contrary to popular belief I really am a lame Mama. My kiddos are busy and I try to encourage them to play independently which I don't believe is a bad thing, but I also feel, I should be a tad more involved in thier day to day apart from being the referee between fights.

So I decided to start doing more things with the kids. Not every day per say, but a few times a week have a specially planned activity. First item on the list was shaving cream. The kids were entertained for almost an hour, even longer once I made some dough and it cost less than $1.

I saw on Pinterest that people make dough. It was a lot of fun and it doesn't take much to make a handful. It does dry out and get pretty crumbly pretty quick, but it has the coolest texture and both E and Duke played with it for quite a while! Love, cheap and easy activities that the kids love too. We will totally be doing this again!

A Very Special Tea Party

E has been asking tohave a tea party and so one afternoon Grammy happily obliged. When I think tea party I think tea pot, cups saucers, a few treats and call it good. Grammy goes all out with voices, hats, table cloths, proper manners, and dabbing the corners of your mouths with napkins. The kids were having a ball. Duke behaved like the perfect gentleman!

 Cheers!

I love the little juice mustache!

Pinkies up of course!

This set was mine when I was little and I remember having my friends over for little parties.

 Those eyes!

Thank you for a very magical tea party Grammy! The kiddos had a delightful time!

Lego Land

Once Jakob left for Vegas, Mom and I played with the kiddos. It was super hot outside so we decided to hit up Lego Land one afternoon. It was super fun!

Oma is super competitive! She really got into the little ride that they had!

My favorite part was the mini Kansas City! It was Beyond cool. Here is a bit of the Kauffman Center and the Union Station.

 Chiefs Stadium!

 Royals Stadium!

And the Starlight Theater! Just to name a few.

There were lots of super fun things for the kiddos to do. Duke wanted to ride the shooting ride another three times. I am looking forward to going back another day.

Thanks for the fun day Oma!!!

 Such pretty girls!

Now home for naps and more unpacking!
