One Busy Day

We had a busy day full of fun! We started the day up on Mount Charleston listening to Pa's band play.

Sprout was a pretty big fan!

Duke got to come up and help blow the train whistle. He blew the whistle so hard I thought he was going to pass out. :)

It was so fun to go and see Pa. We also ran into Uncle David while he was working on the mountain.

We loaded up the tiny humans and Mom and I headed down to the train station in Boulder City.

All Aboard!

Sprout was a big fan... and then he wanted to go explore.

So fun!

Then we went to see the big horned sheep, which I've never done before. Very random and very neat!

And down to the docks to feed fish where I swear it was 150 degrees. It was so hot I thought the fish were going to boil!

Mom is amazing a burnt her tooshy to make sure Sprout didn't end up with the fish in the water.

We ended the day with one of my favorite people ever. I so love Aunt Nancy, she made a delicious dinner and it was so good to visit with her even thought it was only a quick chat. She makes my heart happy. It was a fun and busy day and I loved every second of it!

Girl's Weekend in VEGAS!

Six months ago my cousin Jessica called up and asked if I would be interested in going to a Michael BublĂ© concert. Jess and I went to one of his concerts 10 years ago and it was so fun! We decided to make it a cousins weekend and it was AMAZING!!!!!! By the time we all landed, got our rental car, and picked up a snack it was 2:30 in the morning which is 4:30 KC time. We were so tired and we had a wonderful quiet morning sleeping in!!! First stop was Cafe Rio!

We went home, took a nap and then took our time getting ready without kids screaming or babies breaking our eyeliner pencils! then we headed down to the strip to wander, explore, and take WAY too many pictures!

GO KNIGHTS GO!!!!!!!

It took us forever but we finally made it to the Bellagio which is my favorite!

TULIPS!!!!!

We picked up a pretzel and headed off to the concert. Micheal was amazing and I LOVED his concert just as much this time as last time. It was an older calmer crowd but that was fine by me!

We hit up Shake Shack on the way home.

Jakob asked me to send his a boob picture. Never have we ever sent naked shots to one another and he was asking jokingly but when I found these mugs I just couldn't help myself. This also hit a little too close to home as my children nursing has made my a bit lopsided. Expectations vs reality. It was hilarious.

And by 2:00 we were back home ready for bed! These late nights are crazy!!

Sunday morning we slept in and we headed our to go to sacrament meeting. It was fun to see a few Vegas people for a minute.

We had some amazing Thai food for lunch and then we went for pedicures. We got the delux package and it was incredible!!! My pedicureist Anna was  hilarious and we were joking the whole time. I asked her if I had ugly toes because Jakob always says I do and she laughed and said "I'm not telling you that, It'll hurt your feelings!" She then proceeded to use a cheese grater to take of the callouses off my feet which was NASTY I was shocked!!

It felt so nice and it was exactly what we needed!

We went home and I was TIRED!! But we decided to bake a cake and decorate it for Leanne's birthday which was in 2 days. Anything that could go wrong with this cake did go wrong. The butter was still frozen and I broke Mom's cookie paddles (surprise mom, don't worry we replaced them!) then the butter was too soft. Mom Tobler has gone healthy and she didn't have powdered sugar or brown sugar so we had to go back to the store. The cake wasn't frozen enough and it basically fell apart. I doubled the recipe accidentally and it was ridiculous. And that drip was nasty. In summation I was tried lol.

But the girls didn't seem to mind and 6 hours later we had a cake... or something cake shaped.

The following day Jess and Leanne went home and I spent another night hanging out with Jenna and Pa Tobler watching the hockey game. It was so fun!! We won!

And now we are off! It was such a wonderful five days. Daddy did an amazing job working from home and taking care of the tiny humans. I got to spend time with my cousins who I love like sisters and it was EXACTLY what I needed!

But I miss my little people and I am excited to get back home to them!
