Finally some Snow

We finally got some snow!!!!!! It wasn't a white Christmas but we got some snow and I was THRILLED!

WE broke out the toboggans and headed to the hill. It was freaking chilly. That wind was no joke!

It there anything cuter than a baby in a snowsuit?

I seriously doubt it.

Sprout wanted to go down allllll of the big hills. That boy is fearless.

Best of friends. These two were so cute sliding down and sharing toboggans with their younger brothers.

Sprout waiting outsdie the house for Josh & Callie to come play.

Baby Bob the Snowman.

And Winky the Snowwoman.

It didn't last for long, but we had fun while we had it.

February Phone Favorites

Oh February, there were ups there were some scary times. There were birthdays and snuggles and creations. It was a busy month and I feel like the rest of the year is going to fly by just as fast. Here are a round up of this months favorites.

These two making the same exact face has me cracking up.

Please let me bottle these moments up forever!

You're children may be half Canadian if they are outside playing when it's -20F. That wind was NO joke!

This was giving me all the feels!

Getting some homework done.

Making our own little roller coaster.

This used to be just a fun shirt (I got this at Savers when Duke was little) now it's a political statement and it makes me cringe.

Sunday lessons at home give me all the warm fuzzies. I LOVE home church. I love the spirit it brings into our home. I love the peace. My favorite!

Just a boy wearing his Daddy's hat and holy SWOON. This boy melts my heart!

Birthday dinner at Braden's house. Such a fun group. And that's a wrap on February. Now to puphot the finishing touches on E's birthday party. Wooo hooo!!!

Toboganning

The snow was perfect so headed out to the tobogganing hill. I was in my happy place. Here are WAY too many pictures but they all make me so dang happy!

Is there anything cuter than a baby who can't put their arms down?

I didn't have to force these smiles. :)

Roo was a big fan too!

Oh snow, I wish you'd stick around a little longer. Such a fun afternoon!!!

Roo's First Birthday & Cake (but mostly cake)

It's Roo's Birthday Eve and how is that even possible?! This has been the fastest year of my life.

The traditional last day of being 11 months photo.

Roo's birthday cake was an apple cider cake with an cinnamon apple filling. I wasn't the fondest of the frosting but I could eat that filling with a spoon.

With Roo's obsession with Finding Dory I knew we had to rock out another ocean cake even though we had just made one a few months before fro Duke's birthday.

He turned out beautifully!!!!

With this cake I forgot to add supports under hank and so he ended up sinking and making the cake sag. I took a lot of pictures the night before, but note to self, support, support, support.

With an ocean cake, it's alllllll about the details. I loved the fish molds, the little bubbles and the coral.

Time to sing Happy Birthday. He really wanted to hold Dory.

 And touch the flame.

We had Papa and Gram come over and the Ellett family which was just perfect. He opened a few presents and we did a lot of snuggling.

A lot of snuggling. I'm not exactly ready for him to be one yet. This boy is growing up so dang fast. Happy Birthday Roo!! You are so loved!!!
