February Phone Favorites

February went just as fast as the rest. I'm convinced my life is just turning into a series of blinks and it makes me sad to think it's all going so. dang. fast. Here are a few blink that caught my attention.

 Big fat fluffy snow flakes!

It was Sprouts turn to go on a Daddy Date. Sprout went to see the Harlem Globe Trotters. Jakob said he was a bit too young and I didn't realize that his seats were going to be so dang horrible. But despite all of that Sprout liked watching the hoops. He can't get enough basketball.

Yay for Home Depot Day!

E was Bishop Browns first birthday treat.

Tye dye project for Aunt Janet.

I looked up while nursing Redd at the library and found this little sight. Be still my heart!

The little people love Ms. Jodi!

Music Class.

 Kids Craft Day at Lowes!

I went out for Brunch with a friend and Sprout got to experience his first restaurant. Aside from having to pee no less than 5 times, he did great.

Little thumb sucker.

That smile!!!!

Toddler time at the gym. A sure fire way to get sick!

I loved this....
.... and that it said Sprouts name on the back. I felt that it perfectly described our crazy Sprout. H'e snot bad, we just realized that Mama and Daddy need to parent him more. He's getting a little wild.

Curled hair + a touque = love

Putting his best friend to bed.

Leaving Sprout unsupervised for 3 seconds. Literally.

Perfection.

Shooting hoops on the big hoop!

When your oils come in rainbow order!! :)

How he smiles at his sister every single time!

Getting kissed by Vivian.... a lot! Had to rescue the poor boy!

Those eyes!

So excited to have one of these for Leif and Redd too!!!

This girls heart is just so dang pure!!!!!

Just another day in the office!

E's Birthday

Birthday eve with my girl!

Some kids would hand out goodie bags for their birthdays. I told E that I didn't want to waste the money on something that they kids were just going to throw away and that we could spend the money on her party instead. She said that was fine. She then went upstairs and made each kid a little fuse bead cookie. I'm so obsessed with this girl and her big heart!

She went to the store with Daddy to pick out her special treat and came home with donuts. For dinner she requested fancy Ramen noodle. She got to eat on the You are special plate too.

Icing on the cake was Papa and Gram coming for dinner. I need to get a better picture of them. E was glowing, She just loves them both so much! It was a calm birthday and E was thrilled. You are so loved sweet girl!

8 Years Old

Height: 4 ft 0 in (23rd percentile)
Weight: 50 lbs (25th percentile)
Nicknames: E, Peanut, Pa calls her Muffincita
  • E is so mature! I often find myself forgetting that she is only 8. She understands a lot of what is going on around her. She picks up on adult conversations and is always asking questions. She just handles herself and situations that are beyond her years and it so so nice for me as a Mama!
  • E is a star pupil at school. She adores her teacher Mrs. Edge and she is doing really well. She is reading at a fourth grade level. She is pushing herself in math and had graduated to third grade concepts now. Her teacher keeps stretching her and she loves every second of it. I am just so dang proud of her!
  • When E grows up she wants to be an artist or a librarian. Her favorite color is purple & black.
  • She loves space. She has been reading about space a lot recently and it's a lot of fun hearing all of the fun facts she has memorized.
  • This girl makes being a Mama so dang easy. I will often find her getting Redd out of his crib, playing with him making him laugh and giggle. She will help Sprout with tub time, cleans the house, cleans the kitchen and is always asking how she can help me. She is a little Mama Bear and I am so grateful. She is just the best big sister and I love watching her help and love her siblings.
  • E is my sunshine. It isn't very often that she is in a bad mood and she usually snaps out of it quite quickly. She is bubbly, talks non stop and I often find myself smiling because she feels more like talking to a friend every single day. She is warm and sweet and is a great friend thinking of other peoples needs before her own.
  • This girl is the epitome of creativity! She outshines me in the department in so many ways. I can often find her up in the craft room, digging through ribbon, Velcro and sequins making up a creation. She just wants to make all the things and I can so relate to her. Her passion speaks to my soul.
  •
  • E is still pretty picky about her clothes, but I have bought or "convinced her" to try a few pieces that have ended up being her favorites. She is ll about t-shirts and tights. She doesn't like shorts and will only put on a dress for church but still enjoys feeling dressed up too.
  • E does not like making you sad, disappointed or failing in anyway. She is getting better at letting herself make mistakes, but it is a tricky line to walk. i feel like she is getting more confident with herself and it makes my heart happy.
  • I still find that E wants to have EVERYONE be her friend. She is very considerate and I love that about her. She is very aware of rules, and what makes people comfortable and she will go out of her way to make people feel like they are safe, seen and loved.
  • E still loves to play games. She loves to play Eye Spy and quick think matching games and she excels at them. She still Skypes with Oma and plays Yhatzee and she is competitive. No way she's going to let you win!We have recently introduced her to Settler of Catan and she loves it!
  • She loves to sing along and memorize songs. Her favorite is Taylor Swift - Look What you made me do and Andy Grammer - Honey I'm Good. I love listening to her sing.
  • E has moved away from owls and it breaks my heart. She loves learning about animals. Her favorites currently are Sloths and Koala's.
  • She loves to play with Duke. Thos two are attached at the hip and act more like twins than siblings. They love to play Callico Critters and Barbies together now that we have brought up the barbie house from the basement.
  • E is still a routine kind of gal. She no longer takes naps, they are usually very rare. She is a good sleeper though and is becoming less afraid of the dark. She goes to bed around 7/7:30 and wakes up around 7:30.

  •  E's best friends are "well I don't want to leave anyone out, so I guess everyone in my whole class." She usually hangs out with Naomi, Piper and Bexley.
  • E is hilarious. She understands sarcasm and will make jokes. She says the funniest things and gosh darn it I love it!
  • E isn't a big cuddler still. She will ask for hugs on occasion and you drop everything and accept because it's rare. She asks me to brush a blow dry her hair and I love doing that.
  • Favorite foods: Ramen, Bagel with Cream Cheese, Mac n Cheese, Pizza. She will eat just about anything we give her now which is AMAZING! She does not like hotdogs, or tacos.
  • Favorite Toys: Barbies and Calico Critters. Really anything that she can play with her brother. Those two are always together.
This girl is my happy place. She makes me a better person and mother. She sees me. She is there with kind words or tells me to get my crap together. She see's when I'm stretched thin and jumps in to offer help without being asked. She is such a light in my life and I can't even describe how I love and need her. Happy birthday Peanut! You are so loved!!!
