We had a last minute costume switch. After the trunk or treat all E could do was talk about all of the princesses she saw. She wasn't upset about being a turtle but Jakob and I knew that nothing would make her happier than being a princess. Once we got home we decided to surprise her and get a very special Elsa dress. I can't even begin to explain how happy she was. She glowed. She got to wear it two days before Halloween and she lived in it and she hasn't taken it off since.
I {love} the extra long cape and E likes to watch it as it drags behind her.
For Halloween I braided her her. I braid her hair all the time but it is so fine that it usually falls out within minutes of me finishing. To help it stay, I back combed it a bit and used bobby pins. You can tell even with all of that it's still starting to come undone but Elsa's hair is messy anyways.
Holding on to all things Elsa.
And let's not forget our little ninja turtle. There was no way I was getting that sippy cup away from him. He was crazy wiggly too but we got some good pictures of him at the trunk or treat.
Inside the house he wanted nothing to do with his hat but once we got outside he changed his tune. It was freezing!
As a part of the guts and gore for the evening, Jakob's toe nail finally fell off. Yummy right!
The wind was ridiculous and it was super cold outside. We made our rounds to two houses and called it an evening. E had been practicing her Trick or Treat all afternoon but she would only belt it out if Mommy helped. The best part about only visiting two houses... only four pieces of candy to give the kids! E knew that candy was hers and she wanted all of it.
We came home, snuggled and watched a movie. This little man got EXTRA sticky.
Duke Manfred was tired and retired at bedtime but E was a little wired... so much so that she was making laps around the house, just running. When she sat she shook. It was rather funny. We had a great Halloween. We didn't get one single trick or treater. There aren't many kids in our neighborhood anyways but I think the cold scared them off! I can't believe we are into NOVEMBER?! Happy Birthday Month to ME! :) That's a wrap folks!
