+ E is the BEST big sister. She is always there ready to help with Roo. She plays, sets up shows, gets him snacks. We call her Little Mini Mama. Roo loves his big sister so it is really nice when she jumps in to help! 

+ She is a really wonderful student. She enjoys school and her favorite subject is art and math. She works hard and is always willing to go the extra step to make her work stand out.

+ E has a great group of friends. She is a light and is really good at navigating drama around friendships. She has some great friends that come over to play and it's so fun to see her in a social setting and see how she thrives. 

+ E is still ALLLLLL about the crafts and making things. She loves to work on projects together and I wish that we had more time to do that. Doesn't matter what we're making, E is all in.

+ E loves to play games and is really quite competitive. She likes to play Catan with Mama, Daddy & Duke and will play Yahtzee with Oma. 

+This girl is a wonderful reader. She has read all of the Percy Jackson books, the first three Harry Potter books and has started the Hero's of Olympus series. I am so dang proud of her and I love that she loves to read!!

+ E is becoming quite the little chef. She is starting to experiment in the kitchen and has learned how to make Mac n Cheese. We'll see how this develops! 

+E is a BIG Harry Potter fan and oh. my. lanata. it is so dang fun to enjoy something together. Her room has turned into a Hufflepuff Dormitory and we have some plans to make it even more exciting. We have been reading the books together and I love getting to spend some time and watching her fall in love with characters.

+ E is the most sincere and genuine person I know. She knows your feeling without having to say anything. She is empathetic, and kind. She is always thinking of others and she thrives on positive reinforcement. She is bold and brave but in the most humble way. She wants everyone to be happy and will often put her happiness on the back burner to serve someone else. She is all the good things in this world. 

+E is starting to find a love for Lego. After the summer spent at Gramma's building all of Daddy's Lego, it sparked a love for building. Her favorite sets are Harry Potter themed. 

Oh sweet girl, you will move mountains as you grow. Please don't ever change. You are so loved!!

12 Months

+Redd loves to dance! He will shake his head back and forth

 and some times he will shake his booty. It is the cutest and 

most awkward thing to watch.

+He took his first set of steps 10.20.20 (he took his first decent steps on 11.12.20)

 

 

+ He has four teeth and is cutting for more. He is super drooly and slightly 

cranky but over all in good spirits with his teeth.

+ We have officially weened. I nursed him my last time on his birthday.

 It is so bitter sweet for me. So excited to have my body back but I will 

miss our snuggles or him falling asleep in my arms. Nursing has been

 a crazy but BEAUTIFUL ride.

 

 

+He loves to clap his hands and gets SUPER excited if you clap for him.

+He can say Dada, Mama, Papa, Baba, ahh daaa (all done), h-i (hi), ehh-oooo (hello), 

du-*click (duck). Eeeees (cheese). It's not very consistent. 

He loves to say Duck. It's adorable.

 

+He is officially sleeping through the night. He goes down at 7:30/8p.m 

and sleeps until 7:30/8 a.m. every day and take two two hour naps.

 

 

+ He loves all of the food. ALL of the food. He will now drink milk from and sippy cup and he's a big fan!

+This boy is a Dory fan through and through. He won't watch is all the way through, 

unless he's in his high chair or being snuggles but it's still his favorite.

 

 

+He loves towers and knocking things over. Not really into toys just yet. 

+ Takes a Sue and his blanket every night at bed time.

+Can go up and down the stairs like a pro. Fell down the stairs

 for the first time and gave himself and NASTY bruise. So so so sad.

 

+Had a Dory themed birthday. 

+ He loves to read. He will grab and book and then booty scoot to you while

 holding it and climb up in your lap to read it. His favorites are the 100 First 

Word picture books (with a duck) and Goodnight Gorilla.

 

 

+If Daddy walks by and doesn't pick him up there are tears. He adores his Daddy.

+He responds to Roo, Redd and Reddrick.

 

 

+Always gives Mama good smiled for the camera.

+Knows when the bathroom door is open and makes a beeeeeeline for

 it every single time. Loves to dump our all of the cupboards and drawers. 

Mama is ALWAYS picking up after him.

 

 

+ He is our light and joy and we are all obsessed with him!

 I cannot believe he's one! 12 months goes my so fast and the first year is one of my very favorites. Happy birthday beautiful boy! You are so loved!

11 Months

 + Redd loves to spit and blow raspberries. He does it ALL. DAY. LONG

+  Bum changes/ getting him changed are the WORST part of the day. Home boy rolls all over the place, a literal alligator. he also is an immediate wiener grabbers and you have to watch those hands! 

+Roo wants to walk SO bad. He has started toddling all over the place. He will is always grabbing someones hands and matoring. He has started going one handed and I'm sure he'll be vertical in a few weeks. STOP GROWING UP SO FAST! 

+He can now crawl up and down from the couch without help. It is so cute watching him turn his little bootie around and scoot down. Be still my heart. 

+He is ALWAYS smiling! You say his name and that baby just glows!

+ If his Daddy walks by and he doesn't pick him up he just crumbles down and cries. He loves his DAddy!!

+ He is so whiney when he's around me. I have no idea what it's about. He is fine when he is around Jakob, but the second he sees me it is like he is in pain. Oh sweet boy. 

+ He loves his blanket and his moose and his fox. He takes a sue really well now. 

+We are about done our nursing journey. I am not making hardly any milk and he only nurses a a couple of times during the day. He still wakes up 1-2 times a night to nurse. It is so bitter sweet, I feel like when he is nursing it is the only time of the day that he is still. I love his snuggles.

+My favorite time of the day is right before he goes down for nap or bed. I toss his blanket over my shoulder and give him is sue and he immediately puts his little head on my shoulder and cuddles. Sometimes for a long time, other times not for long at all but it is perfection.

+He is all about making messes. We have turned to corner in the DESTROY MODE. Roo leaves a trail of destruction in his wake and it is endless. I am always picking up after that boy. He doesn't play per-say, just messes.

+He loves books. I find this interesting because he will (at times) sit still and read with you. He likes to garb and pull on the books, but he loves the pictures and to sit and read. 

+You guessed it... STILL LOVES DORY!

+He will eat anything and EVERYTHING! He loves meat, chicken, beans, rice, fruit, grapes, cookies, crackers and whatever is in your bowl! He is all about the food.  

+He is always wanting to take our phones. H just wants to throw and suck on them but he's a pretty bit fan. 

+ He says Mama all the time. He will at times switch for Papa, but if he's saying words, it's usually Mama. 

+ He has the cubbiest legs and pudiest little fingers and they make me swoon. He's got erfect little dimples and eyes that twinkle. This baby is the whole package.

+ He is waking up around 7:30 am. He eats right away and then he plays until 10:00/10:30 when he goes to sleep. He's up between 12 & 12:30, eats and plays. He goes down again at 3:00 till 4:30/5. We play, have dinner around 6:30 he does tub time with Daddy and then he goes to bed between 7:30 & 8. He wakes up to nurse around 3/4 and at 7:00 but will go back to sleep most of the time.

+When he's excited about something he usually throws himself back and smacks his head. Poor kid. If he's in my arms, he will kick on little leg like a wagging tail. It's hilarious. 

+He LOVES to be upside down. 

+He doesn't clap his hands often but when he does it is the CUTEST THING!!!!

+Redd has cut both of his bottom and both of his top teeth. He didn't seem very upset about either which was nice!

I love this baby with my whole heart. I can not believe he is almost one?! WHERE DID THE TIME GO? I'm just going to sit here and cry for a bit. Roo you are so loved!

10 Months

 

 

-changing his bum is the worst!!!! He rolls like a crocodile 🐊. 

He's always grabbing his penis and fights when you put on his clothes. 

Don't get me wrong, he's happy just fighting the entire time and it usually

 results in Jakob and I playing rock, paper, scissors when it comes time for bum changes.

-This baby can EAT. No even joking or exaggerating he eats as much as Duke 

and E. He loves ALL food. Meat, veggies, fruit, bread, crackers. You name 

he'll eat it. His favorites are Pot pie soup, noodles and strawberries. If he 

see something he likes more than what is in his mouth on his tray, he will 

spit out what's in his mouth for an upgrade. 

- he lives for tub time. Redd loves the water and to splash around. He gets 

all sorts of giddy and will play long after the water gets cold.

- You guessed it, Redd still loves Dory. He has now branched out to Finding 

Nemo as well which is nice for Mama. I tried Big Hero 6, Cars and Coco this 

month and they were all no goes. I might have to look into getting him an 

aquarium for his birthday 😅

 

- Redd is FINALLY sleeping better! His routine is pretty solid too. He's usually up

 between 7;30/8:00. He eats and plays and goes down for his first nap at 10/10:30.

 He wakes up around 12/12:30 and we have lunch play and usually watch a bit of Dory. 

We have a snack and he goes down for second nap from 3-5. Sometimes this one 

gets a little short with loud siblings. We play, and have dinner between 6/7 and then

 it's tub, nurse and bed by 8. He usually wakes up at 4:30 to nurse and goes back to 

sleep until 7:30/8. It's awesome.

-we are unintentionally weening.  Not exactly ready either. He usually nurses between 

3-4 times a day and 1-2 times at night. I'm making hardly any milk now and I have

 some in the freezer so I'm not worried. This is my last baby though and while I'm excited

 to get body officially back, I do adore the snuggles. The only time Redd is still is when

 he nurses. This will be bitter sweet for SURE!

- Redd is a busy baby. I feel like all of my boys have been GO GO GO from the

 moment they crawled so I'm essentially used to it now but he keeps me on my toes. 

He has an instinct and knows when the gate isn't on the stairs, or the bathroom door

 is open. He loves to suck on the caps to the nuts on the toilet. GAG! 

 

- Redd adores his Daddy. If Jakob walks by and doesn't pick him up, Redd loses his 

mind!!! Those two are best buddies.

- Roo is starting to sign. He can say all done (hands up) and more (hand clap).

 He doesn't do it all the time but he's capable.

- He loves to clap his hands. It is sooooo gosh darn cute too!!! 

- Too now has two teeth and they are sharp. He hasn't bitten Mama yet, but I'm

 sure that will end our nursing journey really quick. 

- His nicknames are Roo and Roo Roo. That's mostly what he goes by.

 

- He's not the biggest fan of "toys". He just crawls around making messes. He's 

also the MESSIEST eater In the world!!!

- Redd doesn't have 'stanger danger's but he definitely prefers Mama and Daddy. 

- He's usually fine with Daddy, and the second he see Mama, he becomes VERY

 whiney,. Not sure why but it isn't my favorite.

- he's becoming attached to his Fox blanket. Verdict bus still out about favorite stuffy.

 

-He takes a Sue now and LOVES it. Mama and Daddy are pretty big fans.

- Still hates the car seat. He's fine if we are moving up to 30 minutes. If we stop or

 go past that, game over. 

- He adores his siblings and they adore him. They are always together and it makes 

my heart so dang happy! 

- he loves music and throws his body to dance. It's resulted is a few head bonks but

 it's really cute up until then.

 

- He can say Papa (first word), Dada and Mama. He usually screams them. He's a 

very vocal and loud baby. He can also put his hand over his mouth and make "indian" 

noises (I'm sure that's racist now) it's so dang cute.

9 Months

 

• Redd has started babbling and has Said Papa, Mama and Dada. He will also say Up, and mo, but not consistently. His face is so dang cute when he says something and I respond. He's so proud of himself. 

• He has started clapping and it may be my favorite thing EVER! He can wave but only does it rarely by opening and closing his hand.

   

• He LOVES THE TOUCH GAME. He'll stick his little pointer finger out and touch your printer finger and then he just beams! Oh my heart. 

• He cut his first tooth 8.4.20 and it's a tiny little sharp thing. We now call him Sharp Tooth.

   

• He likes to punch my boob while he nurses and it is NOT my favorite. 

• He is napping really well. He wakes up at 7:30/8 a.m. and we nurse and have breakfast. He plays and goes down for first nap around 10:00/10:30. He up at 11:30/12 we nurse and he has lunch and we play some more. Second nap is from 2:30/3-4:30/5 it's hit or miss if he'll go past 5. Then we play and dance and Daddy finishes work. We have dinner, do tub time and snuggle. We nurse and he goes to sleep around 8. He will sleep until 12 and get up or he'll sleep right through till 2 or 3. Some days he sleeps well getting up every 3-4 hours other nights he's up every two hours. I no longer nurse him to sleep during the day and I feel like that really helps. 

   

• He still loves Dory but will now watch Nemo and he loves it.

• Daddy is his very best friend.

• He's becoming attached to his toy moose and blanket. He doesn't need them to sleep but they make him happy.

   

• Loves to swim and do tub time. Highlight of his day. He gets all sorts of kicky and wiggly when Daddy carries him to the tub. He loves to make splashes.

• He really enjoys music and "dancing" wiggling around. The beat drops and that baby gets the wiggles and it is the CUTEST!!

• Kid can crawl FAST. Can climb stairs, open drawers and likes to make messes. 

• He has started pulling himself up on anything and everything and can furniture surf like a boss.

• Hits his head at least 6 times a day. 

   

• Is always hungry. I mean like big kid appetite. I'm floored at the amount of food this boy can put away.

• Is chewing on everything!!!

• Loves his siblings… a lot!

• Not a cuddler so nursing at night can be nice because of the snuggles. It's hard when he's always so go go go. But it makes you savor the slow moments ever more!

   

• Roo will take a sue now and keeps it in his mouth. He won't take it again if Jakob goes into his room at night, just screams. But he will take it to go down and during the day if he's really cranky. We are getting there. I know it'll make him happy.... eventually!

• This boy is a dream. He's so happy. He just GLOWS when he smiles and I'm completely obsessed. He's growing like a weed and I just wish this stage would last a little longer. It's 100% worth having to mop the floor every time he eats.
