OcTobler Phone Favorites

 I {love} festive nails!!!

Duke Manfred all dressed up in his Sunday best!

The Blood moon which was actually super cool and huge but my camera decided not to cooperate to show it's true beauty!

Sweet kisses for a sleeping baby. Oh how I miss baby snuggles!

I think we need new sheets!

Breakfast! Some days are a bit more hard core than others.

Just another random craft, I made one for me and one for my Mama. It was super fast and so simple, plus I am so excited for Christmas.

I told Duke not to stand up on the table so he looks at me and squats down. I laughed so hard a cried. Seriously, I think I am in trouble!

We like to eat with our weapons on the table!

E asked me if I could make her an Elsa Balloon. I didn't have all the right colors but she was super happy!

She just didn't want to pose for a picture. :)

We use our skirts to hold our paints for our crafts.

And we eat candy as we shop for more pumpkins!

E and I at one of her friends Birthday Parties.

Last minute costume! I think it has been my favorite this year!

But my favorite thing this month was having my Mama come and visit! I can't believe that OcTobler is gone! There is so much to do in November and before I know it Christmas will be here!

Halloween Night

Halloween Night. It was hard to believe that it's already come and gone!? This year was the year of many costumes. Ethnie once again wanted to be Anna and it was pretty cold so I figured it was a good idea. We were going to have Daddy and Duke do Star Wars again but at the last minute we pulled out Duke's Kristoff costume from E's birthday in February. I happened to have a spare Elsa dress laying around but I didn't feel like rocking out the blonde wig. It was 5 minutes before we were headed out the door so we didn't even attempt to Make Daddy Olaf or Sven (how do I not have antlers laying around my house?)

We put Duke's costume on backwards, but it still worked. It was a bit snug, I may have to make him another one next year.

Off to our first house. It is so much fun going out with the little people. This is our first year actually going from door to door. Last year it was just too cold and before that the kids just weren't interested. It didn't take long for them to get the hang of it.

Duke was fearless, E was a bit concerned. Our second house we visited they had DJ smoke and she lost it. She was ready to go back home. Once she calmed down and after asked at the next 10 houses if they "had smoke" things became fun again. She would say "Trick-or-Treat" in the quietest voice. Eventually she would say "Mama, I want to be brave and do it on my own!" She is so cute!

Once Duke saw a sucker, that was it! He just plopped that thing in his mouth and was ready to call it a night.

Then our little legs stopped working and it was time to go home.

Tub Time with two suckers. This boy is in heaven. It was a fun Halloween!! Now welcome to Birthday Month and Thanksgiving fun!!

Ikea Trick or Treat

IKEA was hosting a trick or treat event, I am all about soaking up as much holiday fun as possible, so off we went! Then we ran into Queen Elsa. I just loved her dress!

Our friend Rebecca and her kiddos came with us to get come candy. The girls had the funnest time racing through the store, stopping at each arrow as we tried to catch up to them.

They we so gosh darn cute!

And this little man was just as happy as could be sitting in the cart eating the candy as he got them! We are just loving Halloween!

Halloween Block Set

Not only do I tend to decide to rock out random crafts on a whim, so does my friend Gretchen. We are total enablers. So one afternoon she came by with these little sheets printed up and off we went to get some wood to make these little guys. They were super simple and even though they are not perfect I still love them.

Best part is mixing and matching all of the costumes. You can go will all one design or you can have Frankenstein head on a vampires body with bumble bee legs. E really likes them and I can't wait to make our Christmas set!

Halloween Par-Tay

I really wanted to do a Halloween party this year since we didn't have one last year. We were all about keeping things on a budget so we tried to keep everything pretty low key.

Originally I had thought to only invite 4 families. that made 10 adults and 9 kids, then some how it grew to 20 adults and 9 kids. It was going to be cozy!

Then the night of the party people just didn't show up, which was actually better, kept things a little bit simpler.

Loved our little ghost dude!

I made bunt cake pumpkins... total flop in my opinion. I totally used the wrong cake, it needs to be WAY denser!

So we rocked out some cupcakes!

Candy count!

Maleficent was up on the wall since she's a bit too wide to hang on the front door. (The screen squishes her nose!)

We hired a few sitters and put the kids downstairs. Let me tell you, BEST. IDEA. EVER! They were out of our way but still close. We had babies sleeping in every room upstairs, it was perfect!!

And... I totally forgot to take pictures as people came in... until Barb. Whoops!

The food!

Mummy Pizzas.

Finger hot dogs in a pool of BBQ blood sauce.

Mummy Dogs.

We split up the candy this year which really helped out budget wise, plus it gave us way more variety!

Haunted Mansion Time!

 Rebecca's.

Jakob's a close second!

Mine.

Stuart's. And I forgot to take a picture of Gretchen's... Whoops again!

The winner! Barb's the BBQ hunt haunted mansion! Which totally collapsed as we were playing liars dice!

Then we played the newly wed game, which was funny... but not as fun once you've been married for several years. I think it is a brother and sister in law game! And we finished off the evening with liars dice... a Halloween favorite. Whitney was the winner! Becca won best costume as a flapper, cutest couple went to Barb and Stuart, Whitney won the candy count, we won best food for the desserts and the pizza's but we passed it off to Gretchen who helped me cook :).

We had a funny group of crazy cats! come January, when life slows down a bit, I think we will start monthly family game night! *Shout out to all our Vegas fiends and family, it felt strange doing this without all of you! You were dearly missed!!*
