Once again Jakob left for a business trip and KC decided to throw down some freak weather. Last month Jakob too the company jet to a meeting and they had to drive two hours out of town because the wind here was so crazy. It was terrifying having him travel through that. I was so relieved when he got home. This time, snowmagatton.
Usually when we hear we're getting 4-8 inches of snow in KC we say, "I'll believe it when I see it." This time they weren't playing around. It dumped and it dumped HARD!!!!

Those are the bushes outside of our house completely covered in snow. We got close to a foot of snow. Naturally this completely shut down all of the airports leaving Jakob stranded in Alabama.
They decided to try and drive to Georgia to get a flight in there but quickly realized they were shutting down all flights. So they drove the 13 hours home.
The snow stopped as fast as it had started so I decided to head out and shovel the driveway so that Jakob could get in. Nothing like a good ol Canadian work out. My back hurt so good the next few days!
And he's home!!! Thank heavens. He rolled in at 3:00 in the morning. I was so dang happy to have him home!
We couldn't let all of this snow go to waste. While i shoveled yesterday the kids played and squished all of the snow so it wasn't going to work for igloo's but we could absolutely go tobogganing.

Snow is magical!
I mean look at those smiling faces!!
I love a baby in a snow suit.
It was a great storm and once Jakob was home, my heart was so dang happy! This also kicked off the start of a six day long weekend due to snow days. The kids haven't had much school this year so far.
