Dance Party

It's cold and dreary and we were supposed to do our dance party in January. We turned on the music and danced the night away. By the time I decided to take some pictures, half of our group had left.

 Papa Hensley was kind enough to keep the building safe and was sweet enough to dance with me. :)

I love a good reason to get dressed up! we had a fun night with the ladies!

Nutcracker

Peanut and I were at Jo-Ann's and she saw some snowflake material and she grabbed it and asked if we could make twinning dresses. How on earth could I say no?!?! I can't even begin to tell you how proud of this girl I am. E sewed the entire dress accept for setting the sleeves, setting part of the zipper and working the pedal. I told her what to do and she executed it like a pro. 

She is incredible! She took her time, she asked questions and she kept telling me too slow down. I love that she is confident and strong.

 We wore our twinning dresses to the Nutcracker and we got a lot of compliments on them. People were so impressed with Peanut and how nice her dressed looked and I loved seeing how excited she was to tell people!! I love watching her develop talents. 

 This was our first time to the Nutcracker and I loved it. The first half was just so gosh darn magical. I love the Mouse King. Favorite part hands down! the costumes were also stunning. Oh my heart!

 

 E loved Clara and she found an owl nutcracker at intermission that she fell in love with. It was pretty darn cute!

 The second half was a bit confusing, I had no idea what was going on. It turns out that all of the dancers are dolls that the magician gave to the other girls in the first act. they were pretty dances, but the second half was a touch slow. 

 E keeps asking if we can go again next year? Who knows maybe it's a new tradition! It was such a wonderful night with out sweet little girl and I was amazed that she stayed awake for the whole performance. 

Our Final Dance

 It is Pa and Grammy's last day and we are all pretty heartbroken. Time with visitors just goes by so fast!! We couldn't let them leave without a dance party!

 Then everyone got involved!

Jakob's got some moves. And just like that.... Christmas is over and Grammy and Pa are gone. the holidays always zoom by so quickly. Thanks again for coming to visit Grammy and Pa. We love you to the moon and back!

E's First Dance Recital

Ready for a picture overload? I can't help it she is so gosh darn cute! E had her first dance recital this year. They did a tap number to L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole.

Final pose. She did a great job. She was pretty flawless in the dress rehursal and then during the routine she decided to add a few twirls that weren't part of the choreography. It was soooooo cute!!!

Grand finale dance with the entire company. I had the telephoto lens on so I couldn't take a picture of the whole stage. E had a super fun time doing this little routine too. 

E and her coach Miss Rebecca. She was just the sweetest and the owner of the Company! We loved her!

Then after a long day of rehursal and perfeormances, this sweet girl was all tuckered out. (Love thesucker in her hand. We are so proud of you E!!! Way to go love!

Dance Practice

E has been taking a ballet/tap/tumble combo class since January and she just loves it!! This last week her recital dress came in and I just can't get enough of her! What a sweetie!!

She has been practicing so hard for her recital (I am totally sick of the Song L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole) they did a tap routine and they all look so darling!

 It was picture week and I just had to snap a picture of Em and E together. Friends that dance together stay together! I think I'll have to frame this little gem. I can't wait to see how her pictures turn out! 

 

I'm really proud of out little Sweet E! I can hardly wait for their recital!!!

Ballerina

We officially have a ballerina in our home! E has started taking a ballet/ tap/ tumble class once a week and she couldn't be more excited! We anxiously look forward to class every week and she gets to go with one of her BFF's Emery. I am just amazed at how much she has picked up over the last 3 weeks of class. She always wants to be practicing and doing her pique's and summer salts. I just can't get enough of her sweet personality. Thank you Oma for the classes!! She is {loving} it!!
