Beach Bum

Oh how a wish Vegas was closer to an ocean. I have visions of E sitting on a beach with a big floppy hat and her sunshades. Ahh, to dream. I suppose we will stick with our kiddy pool. It's close to home, has warm water and there aren't any sharks. :)

I got this swim suit at a yard sale for 25¢. I have been super stoked to put it on her. I mean it really doens't get much cuter than polka dots and ruffles. It was a bit big, but a couple of bows on the straps fixed that. Good gravy, I'm in love.

E really likes being in the water. She also enjoys giving the water a good sniff from time to time.

 What a silly girl.

I'm loving this beautiful Vegas weather. Hopefully things can stay this way all the way until June. (You can't blame a girl for wishing.) I suppose E and I will just live out by the pool and I think we're both alright with that!

Basket Babe

I'm not sure what her fascination was but E couldn't get enough of this wicker basket the other day. She played in there all afternoon. What a doll.

And just because I'm a sentimental sap here is the very first picture E has ever taken. Oh it's a keeper all right. Man, I should really clean my living room.

Some Cool Chicks

I really do not think I can put into words how much I {love} this picture of my G-ma and I. It makes my heart happy.

You may recall this photo from back in May of last year (E was 3 months old) of Ethnie and Great-Gramma Palmer. Another treasure. So stinking cute.

Well G-ma was here and I just had to get a few photos of her and Peanut and their Sunshades. Good Golly they are cute!

I am so very glad that G-ma was able to make this trip and visit us in Vegas. She and Peanut had such a wonderful time. E would wander around the house yelling "Amma!! Amma!!!!" Looking for her.

It was a wonderful visit and I look forward to seeing G-ma and all of my Canadian family come Christmas!

Family Love

My mother and G-ma were able to come down for a wonderful 18 day visit. We had a great time and filled our days with the same old eat, shop, play, sleep, repeat. In other words, as per usual I didn't take many photos. I did manage to capture a few gems though. As part of our morning routine I would bring E downstairs and she would cuddle with Oma and G-ma while they fed her her bottle.

Words cannot describe how much I love this picture. Genuine smiles. No staged photograph could beat that!

We worked on several projects. Some of which included cleaning out my fridge. It's was more for the sake of stuffing more things in than taking old things out. Peanut was a fabulous helper!

We hunted Craigslist and fond our PHIL & TEDS stroller!!!! So beyond excited!! Thanks for the purchase Mama! E really loved going for walks and the weather was perfect!

We "trimmed" our bushes. I think there's a little bit of Dad Tobler in us. We cut those things practically to the stump!

There was a lot of sharing going on.

Oma purchased some Baby Einstein DVD'S for peanut and she was glued! She sat in front of the T.V. for 27 minutes! That is like years in Ethnie time! We can normally get about 5 minutes out of her before she's onto the next activity. 27 minutes!!! Crazy!

We were surrounded by family. Not only did we have Mom and G-ma here but Jakob's Gramma from Idaho and his brother and SIL from Philadelphia were also visiting Mom and Dad Tobler. Let me tell you we were busy and even though we didn't get to spend much time with the Toblers we were very grateful for the time we had. I didn't know if we'd ever get a picture of Ethnie with both of her Great-Grandmothers again. These are going on the wall for sure!

Four Generations on both sides. I count myself to be a Tobler/ Palmer as well. It's just not the same with Jakob in there.I don't have any pictures of Uncle Clark and Aunt Rachel... I'll have to steal those from Mom.

We went our for lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. E was really fond of smelling the flowers.

E got to have a few treats such as Soda, Whipping Cream and Jelly Beans while family was here. What a lucky girl.

This is my G-ma's 25th Anniversary ring. I'm not going to lie. I think I'm in love!

We did A LOT of shopping. E was a fan of trying on purses.

She toted this bag around for 10 minutes. If it fell off she'd toddle over waiting for us to put it back on again. She's 100% girl. So cute!

I feel so spoiled to have been able to see so much family in such a short amount of time! It was fun!

It's A...

If I had the energy I probably would have made just a big a deal about this reveal as I did about our first. However, I had lots of family in town, we had just returned from a trip and I was sick. I mean like would-rather-be-in-bed sick. So we kept this pretty low key. Cookies, veggies, ice cream and wraps that were purchased at Costco. Delicious and simple! Anyways.... instead of a cake we decided to mix things up a bit and have a box filled with balloons indicating the gender. I'm not going to lie! I was pretty stoked about this! I mean it's been an entire month since our ultrasound!

IT'S A BOY!!! I KNEW IT!!! Words cannot describe how excited we are!! I'm not exactly sure what to do with a little boy but Jakob is sure stoked to be having a little man! Plus Jakob's oldest brother just had a boy so this will be perfect as far a cousins go! Only bummer is.... we have a ton of little girl things. I mean.... a ton! You should see my garage! E's going to have to share her closet!

I should have been prepared.... as soon as we opened the box E lost it! It was a combination of loud cheering and strange items emerging from this seemly harmless box... that, or she really wanted a sister. I guess we'll never really know. ;)

No worries it's nothing a couple of balloons weren't able to fix.We are so excited and we feel so blessed to be able to bring this precious little boy into the world! I think I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the whole thing. A boy!!! WOOT WOOT!! Bring on the suspenders, sweater vests and bow ties! He's going to be a champ!

E is pretty stoked too!

23 Weeks/ 5 Months

How far along? 23 Weeks.May I take a moment to point out how fast time is flying? Is it just me? I can hardly believe in 17 weeks (+/-) I will be having another little one!!! WHOA!
Total weight loss/ gained? +18 lbs. Slightly scary since last time at 20 weeks I had only gained 7 lbs. Just saying... I have a feeling I'm going to be HUGE!
Name? We find out the Gender TOMORROW! Hopefully that will help! ;)
Maternity clothes? Yes!!! Mama van den Berge and I have been on the hunt. Let me tell you, finding cute, cool, doesn't-make-me-look-ridiculous maternity pants are hard to come by!
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep? The Tobler home has been plagued AGAIN!! This time we all caught it. I think it had something to do with sharing sippy cups and runny noses at the family reunion. Nevertheless I have had the WORST cough. You know the ones where you just get the slightest tickle and you cough until you pee your pants. Just me? Alright. Anyways sleep sucks right now.
Best moment this week?  Where to begin? I loved meeting and seeing all of Jakob's family for his Gramma's 90th birthday. My Mom and G-ma are here visiting so that is wonderful. This baby has been kicking up a storm and it's wonderful. Life is good. If only we could stay healthy.
Missing anything? Clothes that fit.A solid sleep but other than that, naw. This is wonderful!
Movement? LOTS of movement. E is one busy girl and she didn't move nearly as much as this little one. If that is any indication of what I'm in for.... I am going to be one busy Mama!
Food cravings? Anything fresh. I'm loving home cooked food. LETTUCE WRAPS. I think I could eat those every day!
Anything making you queasy/ sick? No! I feel great!
Labor signs? NO WAY!
Belly button in or out? Out. Jakob calls it my button and likes to push it. I really don't think it's that funny. :)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Mood? I think I'm pretty happy. I feel incredible, have a fabulous husband and the most adorable little girl. Right now I'm surrounded by family. Yeah I'd say I'm pretty happy.
Any fun symptoms? If I didn't have a bludging belly I really don't think I'd know I was preggers. I feel awesome. Tired, still rocking the pinched nerve in my back, and I have a cold. But pfffft, that's nothing. I feel great!
Looking forward too? Gender Reveal Tomorrow!!!!!! Wooot Woooooot!

Gramma's 90th

We had the wonderful opportunity of heading up to Provo for the weekend to celebrate Gramma Palmer's 90th birthday! I did pack my camera but I didn't take one single picture. Thanks to Mom Tobler for letting me steal some of hers.\ I was a little bit worried about traveling with E. She just graduated from her rear facing car seat into her big girl chair which made things much easier. She was a champ!! We made it to St. George and had to stop to stretch our legs and get some nourishment.

E was a big fan of Daddy's cola. She wouldn't get 15 steps before she was back for another slurp.

There was an adorable water park. At first E was a little it skeptical but after a minute she was zipping all over the place. She loves being outside!

What's better than being outside and playing in the water? Playing with Grampa!

We headed across the street to Judd's it was an itty bitty snack/ candy shop. Jakob was fascinated by all of the soda. I had to sample some ice cream. MMMMM!

Comparing our "baby bumps". I'm not sure who's bigger, Dad or me?

This was a common occurrence. Bum change on the trunk of the car. It's a good thing E isn't shy. ;)

We hopped back in the car and stopped in at Cove Fort. It was very quaint. E wasn't all that font of listening to the tour guide so she and I just played on the stairs.

Friday night we spent with the cousins. It was great to finally meet them in person. I've been part of this family for 4 years now and this is the first time I've been to a reunion. LAME! We had a wonderful evening! I think we'll have to visit again soon! Kara and Justin graciously opened their home to us! It was so nice to get to know them a bit better. Kara was working on Gramma's cake so she was pretty glued to the kitchen. Masterpieces take time!

Time to party! Jakob can not name all of his cousins. Granted there are more than the 9 we have on my Mom's side of the family. So needless to say I had NO. CLUE. who anyone was. It was fun being in a house full of strangers whom I was no related too. I had a baby to chase anyways, I'm sure over the years I'll get to know remember more than two names.

Sampling the dinner. Mom made Haystacks, I love them!

There was lots of socializing!

Shannyn and I with our baby bumps. She's due a few weeks before me. I really consider her to be more of a S.I.L. than a cousin. It's so fun being preggo together... if only they lived closer!

This little princess was loving all of the attention she was getting from everyone. I was grateful to have been able to go some where cold so she could wear a few more winter items before they got packed away.

E was quite the fan of the pinball machine! I think she would have stayed there all night if we would have let her.

Kara's masterpiece! I just LOVE the little piggies!! So stinking cute!

Kara and Gramma.

A true 4 generation photo. What a good looking bunch!!

The Palmers

E sure does love her Great-Gramma as do we! I have been very blessed getting to know her over the past few years. I look up to her so much! What an incredible woman. Happy 90th birthday Gramma!!!
