Novemeber Phone Favorites

Did November even happen? I know i say this all the time but seriously.... where did the time go?! Here is a round up of my phone favorites!

I just love matching with my little man!

We lock the fridge (for obvious reasons) but one afternoon while Duke was hanging out with Daddy, Duke stole a couch cushion and drug it over to the fridge to reach up to the freezer so he could point out that he wanted ice cream. This boy is a smart one!

Duke is convinced that shoving his foot into a woman face is a sign of endearment. He does it to Gretta allllll the tiiiiime! I'm not exactly sure what the logic is behind it but I think I have a thing or two to teach this boy about ways to woo women before he starts dating. 

Nothing makes me happier than watching Daddy play with the babies Saturday morning.

Shoe love. 

You know it's been a long day when you have to drink the apple sauce straight from the container. THIS is why we lock the fridge. 

Hard at work!

Daddy had to go to a four day conference in Dallas this month and Duke decided to catch a cold. No big deal.... unless you are Duke. He gets a infection that acts like both croup and asthma and he can't breathe. It is terrifying and so this little man spent the night in bed with me for four days. I don't like sleeping alone anyways but it was a long and scary four days. 

This is why Mama can't do Yoga when the babies are awake.

 That's okay, I didn't want to work our anyways :)

Doughnut holes for everyone! The perfect way to end a morning of airplanes! Aunt Janet is the best!!!

Dance/ workout/ stretching party!!

Happiness is family! It was a wonderful November now on to snowflakes, reindeer, and Christmas trees! What a busy and fun December it will be!!

Fair Well Houston!

 WE had to be out the door around 7:30 in the morning and things were busy. But we woke up to a special friend! 

SEBASTIAN! The Houston Tobler Family Elf!! 

And better yet he brought bracelets for the girls, super cute hats for the boys and doughnuts and treats for breakfast! Truly the coolest elf EVER!

Our group family picture with the shirts that Mom and Dad Tobler sent!! We tried to get one at the Renn Fair but it was WAY too cold! Thanks for the shirts Mom and Dad!!!! 

And we are off to the airport! We had such a wonderful time in Houston with the Chanet Tobler Family! We love you guys so much and thank you for everything!!! You spoil us and we had a BLAST!!!!!

Now it's time to get ready for the Ward and Relief Society Christmas Parties and to pack for Vegas and Canada!

Houston - Day 7

Sunday we went to church and spent the day soaking up the happiness of family and throwing all of our junk into our room to be packed. Then in the evening we headed out to the Dickensen Light Festival which is free and simply amazing! It was the perfect kick off to the Christmas season!

E asked if we could set up a castle in our yard... Maybe one year... on a smaller scale!

I was totally digging all of the light tunnels! They just felt so magical!

Then the girls decorated a cookie. They all had different colors so the mixed and matched their frosting. They were so stinking cute!

Saw Mom's name and wished her and Pa were with us! 

And on the way home the boys plugged into a show and watched Cars all the way back. They were good at sharing the phone so both cold see. So cute! It was such a fun evening and such a  wonderful trip! Thank you SO much for everything Chanet! We love you just so much and can't wiat to get together again!

Make Under Doll

One afternoon I got a call from Janet and she was super excited about these Tree Change Dolls she saw online. I had seen them as well and we decided to make some. SO exciting! I LOVE projects! I was put in charge of making some clothes. Perfect.... easy peasy I thought... WRONG! Doll clothes are a bear. Tiny clothes with tiny seams and having to make SEVERAL drafts to make things fit. Fun... yes, a challenge... yes, but like I said... A BEAR! 

We wanted to dolls to look like the girls which was simple in theory, but in actuality it was a lot of pressure, trying to figure out an outfit that was like the girls but still easy enough to make super tiny. Lucia, for the most part was pretty simple. I made a jacket out of felt... I love working with felt! It came together really quickly (only about a hour and a half!).

And then we gave her a white T-shirt and a blue metallic skirt. We were going for a rocker feel. 

Violet was harder... she is very girly, but no longer into princesses. I had thought of making her a princess dress but since she too old for that I decided to go with just a pink dress with hearts on the skirt. I was totally flying by the seat of my pants and in the end it came out alright, thank heavens Janet had other doll clothes as well. 

Then I crocheted her a little shawl which was fun and dressed it up a bit. Much better! (E's dress will be pictured later.)

While in Houston Janet and I worked on our dolls... till 2 in the morning for a few nights. It was so much fun! First step... remove the faces!

Then we started to paint. Talk about intimidating! We looked at pictures of the girls and painted away. It was really difficult to figure out the balance between doll, eye and lip shapes, natural and still wanting them to be animated.

Janet wanted me to paint her dolls but I insisted that she rock them out. She did an awesome job!

Ready to put in the pupils. At this point you just don't want to mess things up because you'd have to start ALL over. Making things the same shape was tricky, but so much fun! I love a challenge!

And then I messed mine up. Maybe you can't tell but it was a bit sad. I fixed her pretty well and I'm sure E won't even notice. 

Face complete! Hair braided like E has hers all the time, all ready for clothes... and shoes.

 And she's done! I found the feet on another doll as a thrift store and got them until I make up some pink rubber boots out of oogoo. I am totally in love with her!

I made the little dress to match E's "park" dress that she wears all the time!
 

 Before and after and such a difference! This was SUCH a fun project! Thanks so much for including me Janet! I can't wait to give it to E!
