A Quarter of a Century!

Someone in our home had his 25th birthday and he partied hard! The boys started out paint balling at 9:00 a.m. It wasn't nearly as hot this year which was nice but we still came prepared with a full cooler of water. We had a few new recruits this year which made things a lot more fun. Pictured above we have Colton, Ryan, Jakob, Keegan, Tyler and Trevor. M.I.A: Nate and James

... and begin!! It was a little bit tough taking pictures behind a thick screen, while the boys were hiding behind large barrels. I wished I had a 75 ft. ladder. :)

Can you see Ryan in the back corner? Ryan and Tyler were playing chicken for quite a while. So much fun!

Since we moved away from our pool Tyler and Mare graciously allowed us to come party in their apartment complex's pool. It was absolutely perfect. Here's Ethnie with her Prince.

I saw this shirt on Pinterest, and I knew I just had to make my own! So stinking cute! Golly I love that girl!

Please take note of three things in this picture. 1) My super cute daughter. 2) My husbands shiner on his forehead and 3) Jakob's bulging biceps. He hasn't lost all of his muscle... but his 6 pack is long gone. :(

Savannah and Addison. They were so cute, squirting each other with water guns, and following each other around like little ducks. Adorable!

Ethnie sure does love her Grampa! Every tie she sees him she gets the BIGGEST smile. Not that she doesn't smile at everyone but she loves to cuddle and play with Grampa.

Time for some grub! We had some sliders, regular and Bonzi Burgers! So delicious!!!!

James was our grilling king! Thanks James!

The soon to be married Nate and Sydney!

 Ryan looks impressed. ;)

 Yummy yummy!!

Mom made an awesome cupcake bar complete with sprinkles, ice cream, berries, frosting and other yummy treats! Thanks Mom!

Have you met Jakob's boss Lucas? I was holding Ethnie and I walked up to him and said Lucas.. want a baby? (In a joking matter of course.) He said sure and so he held his first baby. He looked a little uncomfortable and then he decide to try the "Simba" (see Lion King for details.) Ethnie promptly started to cry.

 Time for some watermelon football!

But first we had to do some Victoria secret hair splashing...

And some flexing with all of his battle wounds.

Savannah held onto the Melon while the boys got their hands all greasy.

Sharing some Vasaline.

 And GO!!!!!!!!

It was a wonderful day which was topped of with man night at our place! Thank you to all who participated in celebrating Jakob's 25th with us! We had a blast!!!

Rolly Polly

On July 6th (when these pictures were taken) Ethnie rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time. I was so excited, naturally I had to document it.

This is how she sat for a long time. She just wouldn't get that little leg over!  Finally she did it and I think she must have thought I was crazy with all of the clapping and cheering I did. Pfffft, Mom's.

The main reason for posting this today however is that she flipped from her back to her tummy today and once she figured out how she could do it, she was rolling all over the floor. I wasn't able to capture a picture of that since I was out at my Visiting Teachers home but boy I was a proud Momma!

I just love her little forehead dimple!

Mmmmmm drool and bubbles, they never end!

That's my bright eyed beautiful girl! I hope something exciting happened in all of your homes today! I can't wait for Daddy to come home so we can show off her new trick!

It's Offical....

... my conditions have been removed and I am now a permanent resident of the United States of America. It took them quite a while to finally get my card to me (6 months) but I am very relieved that my immigration is FINALLY complete. I currently have a 10 year residency card which means I will have to reapply come 2022. I still haven't decided whether or not I will naturalize. I keep waffling back and forth and I suppose the main question is if I get to keep my Canadian citizenship and become a duel. Jakob says I should just renounce it and it makes sense simply because I don't think we'll ever go back to Canada but I try to make him see it from my perspective: if he had to renounce his American citizenship could he? I suppose I have 5 years to stew it over. For now I am just stoked to finally be finished with all of the paper work, evidence and documentation that went into immigration. I still have to keep a binder for traveling back and forth with Ethnie but golly I'm releived its over!

Family Photos

Who's ready for an overwhelming amount of pictures?? Even though I ended up breaking my car to get these, (it over heated something offal and is at the mechanics as we speak.) a rather sad Jakob smiled and we ended up with some awesome shots!! A huge thank you to Jenna owner of Let It Shine {Photography}. I love her and as you can tell her work is always wonderful!!! The main reason for these pictures was to get some shots of Ethnie and I in our matching dresses before she out grew it! Hopefully she'll still fit when we have our mad hatter party in September but who knows since she's growing like a weed! Enjoy!
