Gramma & Grampa

There are two very special people in our lives who often do not get very much credit for all that they do for us.

They are expert cuddlers.

They like to play,

sing,

and dance.

They like to make special things for us...

...or with us...

and they are never too tired to read us stories.

They are really good at making chores fun (they were flossing teeth here)....

& they always have a kiss to share.

They are a wonderful example for us to follow and they like to have fun!

Did you guess who they are yet? It's Gramma and Grampa!! We love you so much! Thank you for always being there, near or far!

4 Months

  • Height: 26.5 inches (86th percentile) (All Measurements were taken at 4 1/2 months)
  • Weight: 18.2 lbs (90th percentile)
  • Head Circumference: 44.5 cm (91th percentile)
  • Nicknames: Uke, Little Man,Mister
  • Everyone always asks how old he is and then they say "Really!? when I say 4 months. This boy is a tank. His rolls have rolls and love each an every one of them!
  • He had his first belly laugh in the bath tub in Houston. (November 27th) Since then I've had a few more but he doesn't belly laugh often.
  • He loves to be upright and see what's going on. Though he doesn't always like to hold his own weight. He really fond of you supporting him.
  • Duke is starting to get on a schedule. We went to Houston and that threw everything for a loop but hopefully we'll get things straightened out again soon!

  • He found his feet on his four month birthday. He is always grabbing them. He gets a adorable smile once he's grabbed them. Pure satisfaction.
  • He had become quite the soother baby which has helped a lot! He loves the NUK and we never leave without a sue close by! He is pretty fond of ripping it out of his mouth and screaming though. I think we'll be cutting the handle off soon :).
  • He is very tolerant of his sister and her need to "feed" him with her dolly bottles. He loves her and loves watching her play.
  • He's still a Mama's boy. For the most part it doesn't bother me, I only get annoyed between the hours of 12 & 7 a.m. on Daddy's nights.
  • He is super pleasant now. He is usually content to sit in his chair or swing and play with a toy. He loves attention and will get a big smile when you make faces at him. His favorite place to be however is in my arms, preferably standing.
  • He will give you big slobbery kisses.
  • Duke is glued to the T.V when it's on. His favorite is Nemo.
  • He is pretty vocal and like to have conversations with you.
  • His favorite time of day is bath time. He LOVES being in the water and kicking and splashing.
  • He's started Tummy time and he will usually lay there for 5 minutes or so before he attempts to roll over. He's already started to wiggle his legs and get them under himself. We'll see if he's an early crawler.
I sure do love my little man. He is beyond adorable and I am falling more and more in love with him every single day. This stage in our lives is a busy one but I couldn't imagine our lives with out him. He bring such joy into our home. He's my buddy and we are so blessed to have him as a part of our family.

    Perfect Day at the Park

We had the most perfect day at the park. There is something so peaceful about family, the ocean, sunshine and laughter. It was once of those perfect events where nothing extradinary happened but it was a small glimpsie into eternity for me. This is what it's all about; simple moments of pure joy.

E was loving the swing. Once upon a time she would cry any time you put her in a swing and now she can't get enough of it.

The little man had found his happy place too just swinging away with Daddy....

    and Grampa.

     Some explored...
    ... while others rested...

... or (like any true Tobler) snacked.

    The men cuddled their sons.

Presley raced toward Grampa. (He's kind of a big deal!)

And, of course, there were pictures.

We wish that the rest of the family could have been with us too. You were missed. It was a wonderful adventure.

On December 1st Sebastian the Elf arrived. He broughtan ornament for Violet and Lucia and then he had treats and gooides for all of the girls!

They were so excited to get to have chocolate for breakfast!

Mmm mmm. Thanks "Elfy." I wonder if Santa will send an elf to our house this year??
