Family Photos... Finally!

We were long over due for some updated family photos. So for mother's day Jakob agreed to a photo shoot. We had Grammy and Pa with us to help get kids to look and smile and even with extra hands Duke still wanted nothing to do with it. Thankfully our photographer was super patient and he rocked out some GREAT candid shots! Here are a few of my favorites. (Yes, I promise, these are just a few!)

As mentioned before, E has a very special relationship with her Pa. I was super excited to get a few shots of them together.

Duke was SO wiggly! He just wanted to run and if Jakob was looking at the camera in this picture I would actually frame this and put it on our wall because friends.... this right here describes my life PERFECTLY! Busy Duke, Sweet Ethnie, and loving every second of it!

In other news.... how stinking cute are these two??!?! I {love} this picture!!!!

 Duke perfected by-mom-I'm-just-going-to-run-away-now photo.

And that's a wrap! It was a great shoot! Busy and by the end of it I was wondering if we even got a single good shot but our Photographer was awesome and got several fantastic photos! Now it's time to update our picture on the wall!

Grammy & Pa Arrive

At long last, E has been reunited with her best friend. We made a chain that counted down the days until Pa and Grammy came and every night she would say how excited she was to see her Pa.

This little man was pretty stoked too!

We showed Pa the house, explored outside a bit and took some naps.

Then it was time to get beautiful and get ready for our family photo shoot.

We planned to do our shoot while Grammy and Pa were here to help have people make the kids smile. I really is a 6 person job I swear! While we were taking pictures Grammy and Pa also helped watch a wandering Duke who really had no intention of staying with the group. Grammy caught some cute pictures from behind the scenes.

At one point while we were taking our individual photos with E Grammy and Duke disappeared. They had found a little door and from what Mom told me Duke would go up and knock on the door, then come back and sit down.
Just him and his monkey.

Then Duke wanted to stick leaves down Pa's shirt. :)

I love this picture of Mom! Great shot Pa!

Oh, and let's not forget the black pansy's.

After it was all said and done we came home, grabbed some food and snuggled in to watch a church movie on Pa's phone. It was a busy day but it was fun! Just you wait we have a jam packed week ahead of us!

3, 2, 1, Blast Off!

Daddy's are fun. They wrestle, tickle, chase and bounce. One afternoon Jakob was launching Duke into the air and he was loving it!

I mean I can almost hear him laugh when I look at these pictures!

 Ready...... GO!

And when you're done bouncing, Daddy's a really good at giving hugs too!!
