Since Jakob gets the Fourth off we try to do a little something something to celebrate. Jakob is one proud American and Who doesn't love stars and stripes?
I got to wear my super awesome American boots!! Love these beauties!
And Sunday we rocked a sailors dress, with red heels, I thing I may need to get some star bangled heels.
E made some crafts!
And even though she wasn't into dressing up...
Mama snuck some festive braids into her hair.
There was a big festival going on, not to far from home and so we headed down to check it out! It was all free and it was wonderfully done!
E liked the petting zoo!
Duke was a big fan of the police men.
And we had to pull him out the the ambulance. Unfortunately the fire truck wasn't open, they were letting kids spray a fire hose but the line was super long!
I totally loved this Dino suit! It looked great!!
Once we finished exploring a bit we headed to the park.
Then it was time for some Chic Fil A. Always a favorite. Then i attempted to go on a hunt for some sparklers. you know the ones you put on your cakes? No dice. I went to four different stores and they are all "Illegal" in Kansas. Duely noted, I will be sure to order some on Amazon.
So we made our very own sparklers. It was a fun filled and very busy Fourth and we were so glad to be able to spend it together! I am so thankful for this country and for the freedoms in which we enjoy!
