Nicknames: I should put Leif as his nickname here because EVERYONE calls him Sprout. Duke and E still call him Goo Goo and I still hate it. haha.
- Sprout is a busy kid. Not naughty, but busy. If there is a cupboard door unlatched, he's there pulling everything out. If the bathroom door is open, he's there taking the toilet paper off the roll. Pantry door open, there ripping open tea bags spilling tea everywhere. He doens't do it to make a mess, he's just curious.
- He is always watching and he picks things up quick. Jakob put deodorant on once in front of him, later that afternoon, Sprout found the deodorant and came up to me with the lid off putting it under his arms. He knows which buttons to push on the T.V. Where you phone is and how to work it. How to start the dishwasher and how to put away the dishes. He is super smart.
- Boy loves his food!!! He will eat kid food like chicken nuggets and spaghetti but he wants grown up things like chili and pot pie soup and steak. He is a meat lover. He also likes to have a protein shake every morning. Boy is always eating, always wanting a snack and if you leave a chair unsupervised for too long he'll break into the cupboards to get one.
- Generally speaking Sprout is really happy! He is for the most part always in a good mood. If he's cranky it's either because he's tired or he's hungry. He's pretty go with the flow (which must come from being a third kid) and will go with me anywhere. He loves to shop and go on adventures. It's nice having a kid that is so happy.
- Sprout has a pretty good routine. We tired going down to one nap and it was good for about a month and then we switched back to two naps. He gets up around 6:30-7:00 and then he eats. We take the kids to school and tidy up the house and same days Millie arrives. He watches a Baby Einstein and then he's down between 8:30-9:00. He's up around 11 and we have lunch and run errands. We come home and he goes back down at 1:00-2:45 when we get up to go get the kids from school.We come home, play, have dinner. Millie goes home. He play with Daddy and do tub time and then its bed time between 6:45 & 7:00. Sometimes he stays up a bit later but is usually in bed no later than 7:30. He loves to sleep but has to have his sue, elephant and his blanket or it's game over.
- This kid is a Daddy's boy through and through!! When Jakob gets home he stops whatever he's doing and races to the door screaming "Da Da!!!! Da DA!!!! He gets excited when we call or Skype him. He just loves his Daddy!
- Kid loves to dance!!! You turn on some T. Swift, Hand Clap or Youngblood and his is up and he is getting his boogy on!
- He LOVES tub time. The second the tub turns on he is RACING to the bathroom and shouts until he is naked splashing in the water.
- Sprout is talking up a storm. He will attempt to mimic just about anything but he has several words on lock down. A few that we hear frequently are, up, mine, more, help, Duke, Dada, Mama, shoes, sock, NO!, all done, where go?, and a lot of animal sounds. I love that his vocabulary is growing so fast and I am so THANKFUL for speech!!!!!!!
- He's started saying cheers and clinking plates together. I have no idea where he got that from but its' adorable!
- Sprout has 12 teeth. He was cutting 6 at once and it was just so sad!!
- He loves to read!!!! He is always coming up to you with a story in his hand and will say "Book" for you. We can read the same book 15 times and he doesn't even care. His favorites are "Whose Eyes are These?", "Vegetables in Underwear", and "I Love You Through and Through."
In summation this kid is the best. He's always going and always has me on my toes but he is magnificent. He is full of such joy and laughter and if I could know all my kids would be like this I would have 100 more. You are so loved Sprout!
