Ringing in the New Year!

I am almost caught up via the blog! Only ten days to go! Phew! Remind me to never fall behind again! NYE even though it happened more than a week ago I still can't believe that it's 2015! I mean really!? Wheat happened to 2014? It feels like we should still be in September to me!

In my personal opinion NYE is overrated. Usually, Jakob and I are working which is lame. If you aren't into the drinking scene and you have kids than staying up until midnight just means you are going to be extra tired the next day because those darling kids of yours are still going to pop up at 7:30 (maybe even earlier). But after having said all of that party pooper nonsense Mom and I attempted to make NYE fun! Pa got a bit of a power nap while he was playing dolls with E so he was set! :)

We tossed these kiddos away in bed. We did let them stand on the table a yell "Happy New Year" at 8:00.

Then it was time for some minute to win it games. Ah, the cup stacking game, which everyone seemed to really enjoy! We didn't have 36 cups so we played with 21 and tried to see who could do it the fastest. You should ask Jakob who won! (hint: it wasn't him!) For the first time in our marriage I actually beat Jakob at something! I rocked this beast at 20.34 (ish) seconds. It drove him crazy that he couldn't beat me!

Then we had to pick up bags off of the floor with only our mouths. You couldn't use your hands or kneel on your knees. Did you know Mom is crazy flexible?! She ROCKED this game!

Jakob.... not so flexible. But he gave it a good shot!

Then they turned on a movie and I went outside by myself to play with sparklers because they said it was too cold. They were right, it was cold but that didn't stop me. Do you know how hard it is to do these sparkler things by yourself?? A clue: very hard! Nevertheless I had fun goofing around.

Can you tell what this says? Numbers are super tricky backwards!

Once the movie finished it was 11:40 or so and we figured we might as well stay up the final 20 minutes and make it official! We found a Spanish channel that was broadcasting the count down from Disneyland. It was rather cute!

 Cheers!!!

For the first time in the 6 New Years that we have had together this is the first time that we were able to kiss at midnight! Proof that 2015 will be our best year yet!

2014 was good to us! We had so many adventures and I know 2015 will be just as crazy! Here's to a New Year full of excitement, adventures, laughter, love and family!

December Phone Favorites

December was a busy month full of work. family and festivity! Here are some of this months phone favorites.

This wasn't a picture from my phone but a professional picture taken at one of my events with Santa Lou and I love it! I was so blessed to be able to work while I was in Vegas! I had a blast!

E wanted to do her makeup before church while I did my hair. First she started with the bronzer.

Then she got into the eye shadow. She chose blue for the cheeks. We washer her face before church ;).

We had a play date at Aunt Shellie's house and they had a ton of dress up clothes. E was in heaven! I think I need to start looking for a full length mirror for her room.

 Playing outside blowing bubbles.

The flowers in Vegas were beautiful for the first week we were there!

 Arts n crafts!

A group picture with Santa Lou phone quality because the battery in the camera died as soon as I took their individual ones.

I was sick one day in Vegas, like can get out of bed, flu sick. Mom Tobler put me on quarantine and she 100% took care of the kids without any questions or complaint. That is totally Mom Tobler, she sees a need and fills it with out any question. She was such a blessing to me and I am so grateful for her.

 Sometimes they love each other.

I made E a Christmas dress. It took three minutes. She had the shirt and a skirt and she wouldn't wear them. For some reason she simply will not wear skirts but is always in a dress. So, I stitched the two together and she loved it.

The best Santa photo we got, but it was on my phone. I am just thrilled that everyone is facing forward! :)

 Static hair!

Wooohooo! In n Out baby! E was totally loving her shake!

 And the feast! So good!

Jakob also had a man night Game of Thrones for the Champion of Men cup. The 2014 winner was Chuck. They are trying to plan a destination game for 2015... with t-shirts. Sad thing is, they aren't kidding.

That's a wrap for December. Until next year Phone Favorites!

Oh What Fun!

Some more day to day activities in the Tobler Casa. It's usually the small and simple things that make life great!

While we were waiting for Santa to come back from feeding the reindeer we played at the park. The kids really enjoyed all of the fun equipment.

Ethnie really like to help and to do things "all by myself!" Grammy put her in charge of wiping off the plastic cups.

Then she would stack them up.

She loves to be a big girl and do what the grown ups are doing.

Duke really liked playing patty cake with Pa. They would lift up their arms when they would toss the cake in the oven. Duke is getting pretty good at mirroring what you are doing. He is perfectly capable but he usually rather stare at you while you make silly faces trying to get him to copy you.

I took way more pictures of this than was necessary but I couldn't help myself, he was so happy! He was standing on a little chair and taking crayons out of the box. He couldn't have been happier.

Look at all of those teeth!

Then he would sit down, cross his ankles and put the crayons back in the box.

Grammy and Duke getting their snuggle on!

Pa falling asleep while watching the BYU game. I know, he must have been exhausted to fall asleep during BYU! Poor Pa!

One afternoon we went down to Lorin and Nancy's for lunch. I love visiting with them! It was also great to see the boys. Matt and his wifey Morgan are expecting a baby come July 4th! I am so beyond excited for them! I can't wait to find out what they are having come February. We gave Duke to Matt because he's extra wiggly and Matt needs all the practice he can get before July. Duke didn't like that so much!

Jakob and Pa went outside to load the car and they got a bit distracted on the way up. We weren't sure what the story was while watching but apparently Jakob was calling him an old man so Pa started acting like and old man and had Jakob push him up the stairs. Boys!

The whole crew! Thank you so much for having us down! It was great to see you all and I miss you like crazy!!!!
