Glow Sticks

While we were in Vegas we tried to keep the kids on central time which is two hours ahead of Vegas. This meant that they got up at 6:30 a.m. and went to bed at 6:30 p.m. so it was always daylight. Sometimes you have to make your own dark. Grammy broke out the glow sticks and they headed to the windowless bathroom.

E couldn't have been more excited! She anted to crack every. single. one of those glow sticks and wear them on her head, neck, head and as a belt.

Then it was time to play glow in the dark Barbies. And have glow in the dark snacks. I had to forget that it was a bathroom but E had a blast playing in the dark. Thanks for being so much fun Grammy!

Apricots

We ended up being a week too early for apricots this year but Pa was determined to find a few almost ripe ones to give E before we left.

E was so excited to go and pick a few off the tree!

Mmmmm, so good!

These two melt my heart!

Backyard Fun

Almost 80% of our time was spent out in Grammy's backyard. The kids {loved} playing with the hose. Here are a few too many pictures of my kids doing just that!

Some times, okay one time he actually watered the flowers, just like his Grammy and Pa.

When Duke had the hose E was uually pretty smart and hid behind the glass!

Other times he would over reach taking a drink and would spray himself in the face.

Then Grammy would brig ut the buckets so that we could have a little pool.

Then it was her turn with the hose which was short lived since she was content doing other things.

Mom planted flowers. It was so relaxing watching her just putter about.

Duke really wanted to help but he wasn't very good at keeping the dirt in the pot.

And of course we had the Vegas beach.

I love the spring in Vegas, no bugs and plenty of sunshine!

Check Out the Muscles on Manfred

It isn't easy getting a hot body like the one you see before you. I am on a body builders diet with a full plate of protein. I eat a lot but man, I look good!

Here's just a few of my favorite body building poses.

Mother's Note: Duke was really into posing and would mimic Jakob. It was hilarious. He's such a hunk!

Puddle Boots

While we lived in Nashville there were several times I wished I had rubber boots for E and seeing as how we were moving to someplace else where it would rain more than twice a year I decided to be on the hunt for a pair. Lo and behold there were the perfect pair of pink boots at savers @ 50% off they came to $2. Winning!

E was stoked and called them her puddle boots and naturally we had to test them out... first in a bucket full of water.

Ready, set.....

SPLASH!!

After that she was hooked! She wanted to wear her puddle boots everywhere and she loved to go for walks with Grammy hunting for puddles.  One afternoon I came out front to find Grammy trusting E with the hose.

Talk about a run of faith!

Being in Vegas there just weren't many streams of watter (unless someone had just run their sprinklers.) Sometimes you just have to make your own puddles.

Then it was back to the trust game.

Sure do love this girl! She is always keeping us on our toes! May you always find a puddle to jump in even if you have to make it own your own.

Memorial Day

Memorial DAy we were invited over to the Waggoner FAmilies home for a luncheon. I just love the Waggoners and it was great fun to see them again! As per usual my kiddos were a bit wild so Mom came prepared with some bubbles. Duke actual blew a few. It was the cutest!

Then we had the MOST delicious icecream ever! It was homemade strawberry and it was divine. Everything they made was delicious! The Waggoners a great cooks.

E really liked eating out of a cone!

Manny loved being messy :)

 The perfect memorial day!

My favorite blooper.... not really a blooper since Mom was making silly faces. But this TOTALLY cracks me up every time!

E and Doug. So cute! Thank you so much for having us over! It was such a wonderful BBQ and it was great visiting! Love you guys!
