Grandparents Day

 Did you know it was Grandparents Day on Monday? Me either. I didn't realize until I saw a few people on Facebook wishing their loved ones well. I the trotted over to Pinterest for some last minute inspiration and came up with NOTHING! I know mind boggling! So with a little help from Google and the craft isle at Wal-Mart we came up with a little something to surprise Gramma and Grampa because we all know they're totally worth it!

Vi and I went to Wal-Mart while E and Lucy Lou were supposed to be napping. Vi came home and almost spilled the beans but then she promptly remembered it was a secret and told Gramma she had to go sew so we could work on our surprise! Here she is assembling our JUMBO ribbons! We also painted bird houses but I needed both hands to supervise that craft!

 Surprise!! Lucy has Grampa's ribbon and bird house. Don't worry we didn't forget about him!

 Since I make so few cards now a days I have to prove that I still can make them.

The rest of the afternoon was spent dancing with E and watching movies. Ethers is so spoiled around these girls. They are always trying to make her smile, it just warms my heart!

We are so thankful for Gramma and Grampa, Jakob and I especially! We would be lost without them! Thank you for being such a wonderful example and support in our lives. A very special Grandparents day to Oma and Opa, next year I won't be caught by surprise and you'll have a rad card too ;). We love and miss you dearly!

Escape Artist

 While I was organizing Bug's room I turned around to see her STANDING in her crib. She's never done that before so I sat her down once again and waited as she proceeded to do it again. I'm sure she's trying to reach the safety pin. I suppose I better get rid of that now!

 I love the look of victory! I guess it's time for us to lower the mattress. She was hanging over the edge, kicking her little feet when I decided that I best step in before she landed on her little head. What a silly girl!

Making Friends

Ethnie loves little people. This little cutie is Summer. They were born the same month (in our ward there were five of us due in February.) E just loves watching Summer. On Sunday they were having a crawl off in the hallway. Obviously E can't crawl yet, but Summer has got the army crawl down and Ethers was watching pretty intently. With a few more lessons from Summer I'm sure E will be zooming around in no time!

Vegas Fun!

Gramma always has such fun ideas! She invited us to go to Red Rock with them to explore. I love Red Rock, it made me miss our weekly hikes. Now that it's cooling down we'll have to start those again! 

Violet was a little mountain goat. Even with her Crocs she had no problem discovering all of the little caves. 

The Cousins. So stinking cute! We sure do miss Charlie, Greta, Georgianna, and Presley!

As per usual I went a little bit crazy snapping pictures of Peanut. All I can say is I am thankful for digital cameras. I can't imagine what I would do with film! 

Golly I think she's cute, but what do I know, I'm her mother. :)

She does this little nose wrinkle thing now and I personally think it's adorable. 

If you wrinkle your nose she'll do it too. It's pretty cool to see her mimic you.

All of the little mountain goats retreating. Hiking is so much fun! I think Vi may have just replaced me as Mom's hiking partner.

The gum wall. In California they have a place called Bubble Gum alley and it is covered in chewed up gum. I guess this is Gum Rock.

Ethnie sure does love Aunt Janet. She's always good for a cuddle!

We also went to the spray park. Vi wasn't so thrilled about the cold water and honestly I couldn't blame her. It felt good once you were wet but it was still pretty chilly. We are having so much fun with the Boston Tobler's. Let's party on!! 

My Little Helper

 Ethnie loves the warm laundry. She is such a good helper!

Some Special Vistors

 At long last Ethnie got to meet her cousins Violet and Lucia!!! She just loves being around them! Lucia is so sweet and will bring Ethnie toys if she doesn't have any. It melts my heart, I'm sure these two will be the best of friends.
