8 Months

+ Boy can yell! He screams at the top of his lungs. Usually while he's in his high chair. Doesn't exactly matter if food is on his tray, in his hands or in his mouth, he's usually yelling!
+ He loves his crib and doesn't sleep very well on the go. Will fall asleep in my arms as we nurse and will wiggle until he's in his crib. He likes his blanket and his Moose but he's not partial to any one item just yet.

+He's offically crawling on all fours. He just started this a few days ago moving away from the wounded army man crawl (which was adorable and much slower!) But a crawling a baby is a cute baby.
+ His favorite place in the house is at the bottom of the stairs yelling up the stairs. he is starting to pull himself up but he hasn't figure out how to climb just yet. I am not looking forward to the baby gate so he may be learning how to climb up and down asap!

+He is still not sleeping through the night. He will wake up 3-4 times and it's getting old, but he just started teething and has been really cranky too so we will see. We will get to the point where Mama puts in ear plugs and just ignores him, but not yet. It still hurts my heart.
+Boy has rolls on rolls on rolls and I. Love. It!

+ He loves to swim and go to tub time! Highlight of his day!
+ He loves his whole dang family and Papa and Gram. He lights up when anyone looks at him. Boy is full of smiles and it make my heart so gosh darn happy.

+ Doesn't love his sue. My others would live or die by the sue and Redd will take it in his car seat... sometimes and most other times he'll suck it for a second and then spit it right out.
+ I think he's slowly getting over his love for Dory. He still lights up and smiles nice and big when she comes on the TV but he won't sit still long enough to watch a whole movie.

+If he can't see me he will happily play and crawl around the living room for an hour or more. the second he sees me it's game over. Mama is still his number one and not always in the best way. He much more whiny and wiggly with me vs other people.
+Started eating more solid foods and its essentially over baby food. He is not a big fan of poofs but enjoys the Cheetos puffs still. For the most part he can gum and chew most things and he will eat it all from pickles to strawberries. Yes, Daddy has given him all the things he shouldn't have had yet aside from honey.

+ Chewing, sucking drooling on everything!! Doesn't puke as much which is nice.
+ Brightest bluest eyes you ever did see!
+Doesn't mind crawling in the grass. Leif thought the grass was Lava but Redd loves to crawl around and explore.

+Boy is always on the go. He isn't much of a snuggler unless it's with Daddy. He will sit in my lap and thrash and throw himself around. He loves to be upside down. He just wants to be where the action is. He will pop on and off while he's nursing so we have to go somewhere there are no distractions if he's going to get a decent meal in.

+Redd's First word was PAPA! So gosh darn cute. He will try to imitate words for you but he's not very consistent yet.
+ He's started to click his tongue and I cannot get enough of it!

And a few more pictures because I'm obsessed and time is going much too fast!!

Fourth of July

The thing I really miss about chruch is getting dressed up every week. I mean the spirit and worshiping our savior are also awesome, but man I miss my dresses and heels! So for the Fourth I went all out. I really feel this picture descirbes Jakob and I well. Jakob in cargo pants and a tacky but USA shirt (that yes, I admittedly bought him.) And I am full hair, makeup and dress with heels. It makes me chuckle.

This picture of Duke cracks me up.

It's Redd's first Fourth and man, he was just perfect! He's wearing the same shirt that both Duke and Sprout wore. So dang cute!!

I LOVE THIS DRESSSSSSS!  It makes me swoon every time. I'll just be a Canadian over here undercover as an American.

I even went full out with my nails! Any reason to celebrate!

We headed over to Papa and Grams to eat swim and visit and it was perfect! I mean LOOK AT THAT FOOD!!!!! It was amazing!!!

I even wore my patriotic swim suit.

Papa and Gram said they got their shirts at Price Chopper and I had to laugh. they make me smile!

Time to SWIM!!!

And Fly!

Gram and I wanted to make another cake together and I wanted to try my hand at stripes. GUYS, stripes are HARD!! This cake was an absolute learning curve for both of us. Gram tried ganache, I tried piping and stripes. Not the prettiest but she was yummy!

she was pretty on the inside too.

At this point the little kids were tired so Jakob took them home and the big kids and I stayed and lit sparklers and set of poppers.

It was such a perfect day and my heart is so full. I am so thankful for this land that we call home and for those who fight to keep it safe! Happy Fourth!

TFSC - Week - Art Week

This week for summer camp we decided to do Art Week. I really should h ave called it field trip week and called it good because we were so dang busy this week.

Most of our "art projects" were really just crafts too. But we had fun squeezing these in despite the craziness!

Our first day we made cactus water colors.

Then we did magic art which the kids really enjoyed. It was super simple and we will be redoing this one for sure!

E made this abstract art piece on the side and I love how it turned out!

We got a little bit festive and made little fireworks. The kids had a fun time launching these all over the house.

Some Canada crafts. Love my little mudbloods!

And some adorable eagles for the fourth. I love these little artists.

Canada Day

This year for Canada Day I wanted to have a big party and have all the Canadian foods that I loved. Well 202 had other plans so we dialed our plans back a bit and invited over Papa and Gram and The Dyches and it was absolutely perfect.

We had planned to have everyone eat outside and visit but it was HECKA hot! So we made due indoors and we had a fun evening eating poutine, donairs, fruit and dessert.

It was Redd's first Canada Day and he was so dang cute in this little romper I got when Sprout was itty bitty.

At the very last minute I decided that I wanted to make a cake for dessert. It wasn't anything fancy but dang he was CUTE!!

Introducing Moosifer the Cake. I broke all of my rules and used foam to decorate him and it worked out perfectly.

He's so dang cute! And he tasted yummy too!

It was an awesome day/ evening and I loved celebrating with my fam jam! That evening I made an Inuksuk out of little rocks I picked up at the beach one year. He makes my heart happy. Happy Canada Day!
