Playoff Game

For Christmas Jakob took me to a play off game. When he booked the tickets it was 75F outside, game day came and it was 32F. Not the worst but it absolutely had me thinking back to football games in Canada and I didn't envy those cheerleaders one bit. We ran into this awesome fan outside the doors and I snagged a picture with him.

I spy Porter!!

Jakob and I  have been to a preseason game before, but playoffs is an entirely different vibe. WE played Pittsburgh and even though they aren't "rivals" out team was there to dominate. The buzz in the crowd was AWESOME!

Now dont' get me wrong being in the stadium was EPIC! The cheering, the screaming until my voice was gone, the fireworks and freezing your booty (not really thanks to lots of layers.) But if you asked me what happened or the different plays, I don't think I could tell you. There is something a bit disconnecting when you see it real time on the feild. They don't break it down with announcers or slow mo replay. I feel like the experience is amazing, but I feel I get more football by watching at home.

A local artist that sings songs about the chiefs performed. It was fun to sing along with him.

There was a lot of Chopping going on!

And touchdown....

After touchdown....

after touch down!!! They actually ran out of fireworks.

Lining up for Kelce's first playoff touchdown pass.

And we win!!! Go CHEIFS! Also fun to watch Big Ben play his last game before he retired. Amazing night. Oh football, I love you!

Finally some Snow

We finally got some snow!!!!!! It wasn't a white Christmas but we got some snow and I was THRILLED!

WE broke out the toboggans and headed to the hill. It was freaking chilly. That wind was no joke!

It there anything cuter than a baby in a snowsuit?

I seriously doubt it.

Sprout wanted to go down allllll of the big hills. That boy is fearless.

Best of friends. These two were so cute sliding down and sharing toboggans with their younger brothers.

Sprout waiting outsdie the house for Josh & Callie to come play.

Baby Bob the Snowman.

And Winky the Snowwoman.

It didn't last for long, but we had fun while we had it.

48 Hour Cookies

Jakob decided to make 48 Hour cookies and ohhh boy, they did not disappoint.

Full of walnuts, home made toffee & chocolate chunks with a touch of coffee there is a bit of something for everyone.

He was so dang cute waiting by the oven.

Babe, you never cease to amaze me.

Trim Trim

Once I was feeling better but still "isolated" I decided to cut my hair. I had been on the fence about it for while. I have been loving the length but it was feeling heavy.

It needed some freshness.

Voila! Back to some serious layers and gosh darn it I LOVE it!!! It curls so much betetr and feels a lot lighter!

Catching the Coco

I took my before and after pictures of my working out and then Jakob and I snuggled on the couch. I was super tired and fell asleep. I woke up and was absolutely freezing. It's cold out and I didn't think much of it. The next day I woke up feeling like I had the beginning stages of a sinus infection. My nose was stuffy and I had a headache. Tuesday night I started feeling worse and spiked a low grade fever and had the body aches. At this point, Jakob suggested that I take an at home Coco Test. I told him that was ridiculous but that I would comply so that when I booked a doctors appointment for my sinus infection I could tell them I was (-). Welp........ dang........(+). I called Jakob and he raced to the school to pick up the kids. They had been at school for an entire 20 minutes (first day back at school since winter break.) What horrible timing.

At this point quarantining felt pointless because I had already been around the kids, but since no one else was sick, Jakob wanted me to stay away. Well, after two week already being home from winter break and Jakob about to push a HUGE deal through at work (he was working from home.) Things were hard. I felt fine after day 4. It wasn't bad at all and by day 7 I lost my taste and smell but I stayed isolated and wore a mask in common areas. while staying 6 feet away. the Real MVP was E. Jakob had a big deal going through and even through he was working from home, E turned into the primary caregiver. She watched and played with Roo ALL. DAY. LONG. She made lunch everyday and made three evenings worth of dinners. She tidied and cleaned. She snuggled and served. I'm getting emotional as I type. That girl is all the good things in this world and I am so dang thankful for her willingness to help.

The hardest part for me was missing human touch. No hugs from the kids or snuggles from Jakob. No baby kisses or even wrestling matches. Jakob slept downstairs for 10 days and man, I missed everyone. It was strange to be so close yet so far.

The good news was that no one else caught it. I also didn't get very sick that worst symptom was the loss of taste and smell. It really messed with my brain. Peace out Coco, lets not do it again!

Building Muscles

It has been a year since I started my fitness journey. I look at these pictures and I feel slightly disappointed. I see growth, I see mew muscles but do I see a WHOLE YEARS worth of work? No. Granted, These pictures come from working out 3-4 days a week. I wasn't pushing myself super hard but I not only find that I am stronger physically which heck yes I am, I am stronger mentally. I am eating food. I haven't stepped on a scale in over a yer because when you struggle with anorexia even if you know that they weight is a good weight, building muscles it still tells me I am fat. SO the scale had to go. I am happy and proud of my progress. I don't share these as before and afters because I'm not done. These are my befores and nows and I'm excited to see where I'll be after another year.
