Tobler Family Reunion - Day 1

Let me tell you, I have been drrrraaaaaaaaaging my feet when it comes to posting about the Tobler Family Reunion. Not because I didn't have a good time, it was a blast! But because I took 2,000 photos.... literally and the thought of going through 2,000 photos was terrifying. So here we are, slowing wading through the 2,000 and here are some of the highlights from Thursday evening after 3:30 p.m. (when we arrived.)

Basketball. There were many a basketball game. E and Duke really just liked being under people's feet.

Then it was time for the nightly activity which Trisha was in charge of. She put together a bunch of team relay activities. It was so fun! This reunion was one of games! Someone was always playing something and it made me feel right at home!

Carla getting her hop on.

Then they had to hop from end to end with a tennis ball between their legs. Ava was just the cutest thing ever.

Then Carla started us off with the the golf ball egg walk.

Mom has got style!

E loved this game! I think we'll have to try it at home!

Good job sweet girl!

Then they had to make it from one side to the other with five sheets of newspaper. They couldn't touch the ground and the last person had to pick up the papers as they finished. It took a bit of strategy.

And a bit of flexibility.

Then all of a sudden 5 kids just run across like little ducks. It was the cutest!

Then they had to transfer an orange down the line from chin to chin.

Paul just tried to drop it down Pam's shirt. It was hilarious.

I think this is my favorite picture of the whole set. Totally captures what reunions are about! Love, laughter and family!

Then we had to stop for a quick orange break.

And to pet the kitty which was a dirty, mangy little thing.

Then it was time for the three legged race. E was excited to be Pa's partner.

Uncle Phil

Uncle Clare

People really got into the three legged race.

Some more than others.

Mom? Competitive? No way!

Jordan and Doug

Then there was a bit of a tag/ dodge ball/ name game. Dad and Ann were fighting for the win.

Ann won!

Time for treats!

Clare and Paul

It was a fun first evening! I threw my back out unloading the clown car full of treasures hopefully with drugs and rest it will be on the mend for tomorrow!

Great photos. I think you captured the event. Just a couple corrections: Uncle Leo is really Uncle Phil, Ann's husband. Clair spells it Clare. Pretty good though for being introduced to 75 new folk you can now call family.
