Well I have this addiction. I LOVE turtles and to be honest I couldn't tell you why however I have loved them since Grade 3. My very first turtle encounter was when my best friend Michelle Riediger gave me a turtle necklace for my birthday. From that day on I was hooked.
One could only imagine the smile that spread across my face when Mom Tobler and I stumbled upon this beauty at a yard sale. It is a foot stool and for the $2 that it was I couldn't leave it behind. The hideous purple simply would not make the cut in our home so while Momma V was here we went and bought this darling material.
For some reason both Jared and Jakob couldn't hammer the upholstery nails into the wood so Jakob whipped out his tools and screwed the fabric to the turtle. (Thank you once again to Chad and Janet for the wedding gift Jakob loves those tools)

He is so cute! I sewed a turtle in home ec. one year and it turned out alright. I actually didn't mind the purple fabric, but I can see if it didn't match....
Ohh turtle :) He's already been put to good use, now he gets a make over? I love it! He looks much better! Purple was just not his color!
Glad Jakob likes the tools :)!!
Love the new fabric on Mr. Turtle!
