We have lost a family member in our home. Our dear friend Elmo has gone missing. We have had so many memories with dear Elmo. We are all feeling his loss. (I am being 100% serious here.) It's really weird to be so attached to a toy as an adult. It's probably because Ethnie was so in love with him. We have two of the exact same Elmo in our home for "just in case" purposes and E can tell the difference between the two. She calls hers "My Elmo" and the other "Imposs Elmo" (imposter Elmo.)
Duke brought Elmo home to Ethnie from the Hospital when he was born. She was so excited!
Saying thank you to new baby brother.
Since then Elmo hasn't left Ethnie's side.
E would even make sure that he was covered up under the blanket at nap time.
He was always there to help get bum changes or be an example of how to eat or sit reverently in church.
There is still a hope that he may be found but until that time we will love imposter Elmo as if he is our own.
