A Different Kind of Monday!

This week Jakob has a much needed break between semesters. It is so nice having him home and we took full advantage by doing fun things. First things first, the Zoo! E has been asking to go back to play at the park they have there. It is pretty epic. It has a padded tots spot that only little people can go into. We spent the vast majority of our time at the Zoo at the park.

Last time we went with the Mommies group, we didn't get to see E's favorite animal. Elephants, or as Duke would say "Pfffffffffffffffft" as he spits all over you.

E took good care to hold onto her "Big Leeeef!" Daddy and E were on the hunt for the biggest pretty leaf (brown ones were no good according to E) they could find.

 It was a great adventure!

We headed home for naps and then we dropped off the babies as our fried Kris's house. We have been swapping and tonight it as our turn. The kids had a blast with picnic popcorn, dancing, and lots of playing.

There was a severe tornado warning so I was a bit panicked all evening. We attempted to go to the Blue Bird Cafe but it was packed with a line around the building. I was a bit disappointed so we headed out to another recommended eatery which was closed. At this point we were about to pick up some Wendy's and eat at home without the children but Jakob decided to try Smokin' Thighs. It is a food truck that opened up an establishment. We were the only people in the restaurant aside from 4 peaople at the bar. It was all barbeque chicken and it was delicious! We were very pleased. It was a great day full of excitement. :)
